In this role, the candidate will provide monitoring and support for our JAVA Applications hosted at our DC on UNIX based systems. ResponsibilitiesWork in a demanding, fast- paced atmosphere.Actively monitor the stability and performance of Integral s FX trading platform in 3 global data centersRun the Application support desk for a 24x7 distributed enterprise environment.Ensure standards and SLAs are met, including response time, follow up, ticket updates, and resolutionEscalate events as required by the documented procedures with the proper level of urgency and follow- throughInterface with engineering teams to coordinate next actionsPerform standard systems and website troubleshooting - diagnose troubles detected by our systems and work quickly to resolve issuesApply applications specific updates and fixes.Automate existing operating proceduresWork closely with an existing team of skilled operation engineers.RequirementsComputer Science related Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience.Should be willing to work in shifts (including night shifts) is must3- 6 years of equivalent experience, including a familiarity with Unix systems fundamentals, networking and database technologiesPrior experience in managing JAVA based financial application will be an added plusMust have a good understanding of distributed computing and solid understanding of networking and UNIX system conceptsWorking knowledge of at least one of the following scripting languages is also preferred: Perl, PHP , Python, ShellMust possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to interact effectively and professionally with customers,
