Inviting applications for the role of Senior Cloud EngineerIn this role, we are looking for a candidate to perform duties such as Cloud readiness assessments, AWS architecture design, system evaluation, system analysis, AWS Infrastructure Operations, Optimization and Maintenance, Change and Configuration Management Support, Release, Control and Validation of Cloud Infrastructure Deployment and Migration and infrastructure assessment.The cloud engineer shall perform duties on tasks that require expertise in AWS/system/processor architecture, client/server architecture, operating systems, software applications, network protocols, routers, switches, remote access servers, and firewalls.In this role, you would be responsible forMaintain AWS Cloud Infrastructure in Optimal Configuration from both technical and budgetaryperspectivesExperience refactoring or rebuilding on-premise applications/infrastructure and migration to AWS CloudCompose and leverage AWS CloudFormation Templates for utilization, to ensure repeatable, sustainable AWS infrastructure is effectively managedDeploy, test and document development, pre-production, and production environmentsTrain and mentor Junior Administrators and EngineersCreate Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) resources such as subnets, network access control lists, and security groupsBackup cloud and on-premise resources, including in a hybrid environmentLeverage resource tagging to allocate costs and optimize resource planningCreate gold images / AMIs and employ auto-scalingAssist in preparing cost analysis based on expected usageConfigure multi-factor authentication on virtual and hardware devicesCreate IAM users and groupsMaintain availability of critical AWS Cloud infrastructure. To include configuration changes to AWS Cloud Services, adhere to compliance requirements, development/testing/production environments as approved and directedImprove the operational capabilities of enterprise infrastructure as approved and directedPrompt communication with stakeholders at all levelsReview and enhance documentation and knowledgebaseQualificationsMinimum qualificationsMinimum Education: B.A. or B.S. degree in related discipline or equivalent experienceMust have AWS Professional-Level CertificationExperience documenting technical requirements.Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.Proficient at multitasking and proactive in work responsibilities.Passion for providing great customer service.Preferred qualificationsAWS or Microsoft Cloud Certification desired for all personnelExperience in enterprise cloud deployments desiredSolid understanding of Linux and Windows operating systemAdvanced troubleshooting skillsCapability in architecture design, system evaluation, system analysis, and infrastructure assessmentBe proficient in scripting image deployment and bootstrappingExperience with AWS CloudWatch and other automation servicesKnowledge of databases like MySQL, Oracle, SQLServer, or MongoDBExcellent communication, prioritization, and analytical skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced and agile development environmentMust be able to see opportunities for improvement, take ownership and closely work with the development team to drive product improvement.
