Principle Application Performance Architect

Job Description

The Principle Application Performance Architect/Engineer is a hands-on role and will Architect, design and implementation Next generation monitoring platform, processes and standards for monitoring the performance of complex distributed platform and applications in cloud. He/She will also work closely work with DevOps, Product development and CloudOps Operations teams to drive the end-to-end performance monitoring and visibility across all technology components. He will be also part of 24x7 Production monitoring support team, weekly operations reviews, continuous monitoring and alert analysis, SLO tracking s.ResponsibilitiesAs part of the Enterprise architecture and DevOps Platform Engineering, the Principle Application Performance Monitoring Architect/Engineer will focus on Monitoring Platform Design, Build, and onboard applications Some key duties of this role are:
• Provide technical hands-on leadership in commercial and Open source monitoring Tool Implementation leveraging Grafan Lab Cloud stack
• Implement Prometheus operator, ARO and various other Exporters for metrics scrapping and log analytics monitoring
• 24x7 Production support responsibility based on on-call roaster for monitoring critical applications
• Provide weekly monitoring and alert analysis and continuous improvement
• Establish Performance metrics from each of the applications/systems technical components (Webserver, App server, Database, etc.)
• APM Setup/Usage policies and guidelines
• Capacity Planning and monitoring from Dev to Production
• Make recommendations for adjustments to runtime resources to improve overall performance profile
• Define Monitoring patterns and Practices and act as a Guild technical lead
• Enable Developers for Monitoring Applications, Services based on Grafana Lab Stack
Experience:
• Minimum 12 years of progressive technical experience in software development, design, Engineering, Performance Engineering, Monitoring, Devops and IT operations roles
• Dedicated 5 years of experience related to application performance monitoring
• 5 years of dedicated experience in Architecture, design and implementation of Open telemetry, contract-based monitoring leveraging Prometheus, Grafana and Loki.
• 3 experience in implement Metrics scrapping (Prometheus), logs (Loki) and tracing (Tempo) and automated dashboards with Grafana
• 3 years of Prometheus operator, ARO and various other Exporters for metrics scrapping and log analytics monitoring
• 3 years of Experience as SRE/DevOPs/Continues Monitoring for Zero Down Time/No Ops platforms
• 3 years of Experience in cloud IaaS or PaaS services and understanding of h/w sizes, storage and network
• 3 years of infrastructure monitoring based on metrics like CPU, Memory, Disk and Network
• 3 years of Production monitoring experiences like Alerting, Dashboarding, Application business metrics, tracing
• 2 years Experience in MultiCloud monitoring solutioning and Design is must
• 3 years of Experience in Prometheus operator, ARO and various other Exporters for metrics scrapping and log analytics monitoring
• 3 years of Experience in Kubernetes/K8/AKS and Azure PAAS services monitoring
• Experience in implementing Metrics, logs and tracing for Java, Node, Nestjs, ruby, Postgres, .Net with Prometheus, Grafana, Loki and Tempo
• Experience in Self Healing automation and implementation
• Experience in Azure, AWS Cloud native applications
• Experience in AIOps (MoogSoft), AI and Machine learning for correlating, automating intelligent monitoring and insights and reducing alert noise is a plus
• APM and AIOps integration 2-3 years
• Certification in Azure/AWS, Red Hat Openshift solution architect is a plus
• Certification in CNCF foundation - CKAD is a huge Plus
