Back to CareersWe re seeking a Product Designer who s eager to help to evolve our responsive web platform. (And be part of a small, but impactful team.) In this role, you ll collaboratively zero-in on the details of the customer s Job To Be Done, iteratively test your design hypotheses with users, and deliver beautiful and intuitive interfaces with our design system. This role reports directly to our Lead Product Designer. You ll work alongside a UI Developer, Business Analyst, and fellow Product Designer.About usSimpleTexting is the leading web-based platform for SMS marketing and business texting. And with a powerful suite of features that includes segments, autoresponders, data collection and analytics, our platform is designed to help businesses start and scale their engagement through SMS.Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with teammates, product management, engineering, and business stakeholders to identify requirements and provide thoughtful, creative solutions
  • Conduct generative and evaluative user research to understand user needs and test hypotheses
  • Communicate ideas verbally and visually through concept designs, flow diagrams, wireframes, and high-fidelity prototypes
  • Utilize SimpleTexting s design system and contribute to its improvement
  • Ensure that design intent is maintained through development
  • Advocate for the value of human-centered design

Required qualifications
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience designing for digital products
  • Bachelor s degree in Design or equivalent practical experience
  • A strong portfolio with multiple projects that demonstrate your skills creating usable digital experiences
  • Ability to use UI design and prototyping tools to mockup final screen designs for handoff to the development team. (We primarily work in and love Figma, but we re always interested in discovering new capabilities.)
  • Familiarity with the front-end development technologies behind the web. You should understand which parts of your design require HTML, CSS, or JavaScript.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication, and analytical skills
  • Strong self-management skills as well as the ability to work as a contributing member of a multidisciplinary team
  • Superior oral and written english communication skills
Bonus points
  • Experience working directly on SaaS or internally on a digital product team
  • Experience in the e-commerce or communication space
  • Experience in A11Y and accessibility
Location
  • Remote must be available to work primarily US East Coast hours
