Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Detailing a list of tasks around Feature/Product specifications given a rough brief/problem statement from either stakeholders
  • Creating and reviewing Key Flows with variants of approaches to stakeholders
  • Creating case handling flowcharts once a flow has been decided
  • Coordinating with Engineering, Visual Design & QA teams on delivery of the same
  • Working with Product Teams on instrumentation/tracking the feature once it will hit production
  • Working with Product Engineering Teams to add configurability to the feature while it is LIVE in production
  • Monitoring feature health and running experiments with the above two points to better your features
Requirements
  • Thorough in your Design Process - Framing a problem statement, iterating & validating diverse approaches to a solution, executing the same and finally monitoring the execution to evolve the solution
  • Function over Form thinking - Understanding that visual design is meant to aid purpose/functionality of a feature
  • Ability to create a list of key user interactions/flows that should be tracked with analytics/instrumentation
  • Ability to design experiments to test a hypothesis/approach
  • Are Comfortable with learning from experimentation on live user base rather than extensive user studies and research
  • Are Comfortable with killing features that do not translate into desired impact
  • 3+ years of experience in working with consumer centric Mobile Apps
Technical Skills
  • Quick and Iterative Paper Wireframing
  • Flowcharts with any tool of choice (Vision, Draw.io, OverFlow, Pen/Paper etc.)
  • Hands-On UI design experience (Sketch is preferred over Adobe XD, Figma)
  • Hands-On experience with Zeplin or similar for red-lining and front-end execution
  • Basic Hands-On Prototyping experience (Any of Principle, Marvel, Invision, Framer, Origami, Proto.io etc.)
  • Basic Excel/Google Sheets experience for working with data/numbers
  • Basic understanding of Engineering terminology (Client - Server interactions like APIs, Response times etc.)
  • Basic understanding of Product terminology (DAUs, Engagement, Retentions etc.)
  • Open to learning new tools/techniques towards improving workflow and understanding of current user base
Good to haves
  • Worked on LIVE Products with large active user base (>50K daily users)
  • Worked on Games directly or any product with heavy gamification mechanics
  • Worked on Products with Payment loops and Transactions
  • Worked on Products with Social loops
  • Worked on Product with Media Content surfacing and playback
  • Front end engineering experience with any development environments (React-Native, Android, iOS or others)
  • Prior exposure to any Analytics Dashboard and Experimentation solution (CleverTap, LeanPlum, Google Analytics, Firebase, MixPanel etc.)
