Position DescriptionRole :The role is responsible for handling the product Engineering portfolio includes responding to customer RFQs, managing partnerships, technology transfers, engineering changes and value engineering.Level of Supervision : EngineersInternal Relationships : Sales & Marketing / BD Interactions on market inputs pertaining to products, competition, customer requirements, etcSCM & Finance Interactions on responding to customer RFQs from a costing perspectiveExternal Relationships :Customers Interactions on customer requirements, feedback, technical support, etcCurrent / Potential Partners Interactions on identifying / managing partnerships in terms of technical / geographical alliancesAge: 32 yrs to 35 yrsQualification:BE in E&C / BE in E&EExperience:10-12 YearsNote :Immediate Joiners onlyAdditional Requirements if any Certification programmes in project managementSkill sets : Pcb design, As9100, Tqm, 7qc, Ipc, PCBA, Rfqs, wiring harness, cable harness, assembling.Key Responsibilities :
• Should have the knowledge of basics of wiring harness, power and signal distribution system of a unit
• Should understand wire schematic, able to create electrical system wiring Diagram
• Should understand and able to create System Wiring Diagrams, Panel Wiring Diagrams, Interior Wiring Diagram
• Should be able to Create Wire Harness details, BOM. ,find alternate components,
• Should have exposure to quality system requirement
• Exposure to manufacturing industries is preferred
• Handles the product engineering aspects through internal initiatives as well as external partnerships
• Lead the Feasibility (Technical & commercial), Process designing, concurrent activities & development activities for new products
• Hands- on experience in various Activities related to product development activities including designing through solidworks modelling, understanding aerospace requirements,
• Establishing project review, monitoring and status reporting procedures to accurately report progress of the project to the stakeholders
• Conducting regular internal audits, root cause analysis, troubleshooting and reviews to ensure adherence to highest standards
• Leading the team to ensure adherence to all quality tools & standardised work procedures
• Imparting trainings to technical personnel related on the product, technical skills and work process for complete product development process
• Executing projects involving scoping and execution within cost & time parameters; coordinating the project activities and drawing specifications with the clients to ensure product design as per client specifications.
• Monitoring projects with respect to budgeted cost, demand forecasts, time over-runs to ensure timely execution of projects; extending post-implementation support
• Identifying the scope for planning, implementing & monitoring of changes to enhance efficiency, process flow, working practices, and so on for controlling and reducing the cost per unit produced
• Formulating effective material sourcing strategies and monitoring process of vendor development and procurement
• Studying feasibility of the project
• Operating as In- charge of the project from start to end (studying project feasibility, prepare preliminary drawings, BOM, supplier identification, prepare final drawings)
• Involve in PCB design , Design of test fixtures, Prototype Development
• Conducting training team on AS9100 requirements, and aerospace requirements, Formulating drawings using ACAD / SolidWorks
• Interfacing with Metrology and materials departments (knowledge on VMM, CMM and other measuring equipment), International customers, Designated Engineering Representatives (DER) of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in US for finalizing environmental testing requirements and project approval by FAA
• Engage in Monitoring and supporting the metrologists
• Developing suppliers in India for manufacturing components and prototype samples; involved in reviewing & approval of prototype and production lots
• Ensuring strict adherence to AS9100 requirements and conducting internal audits on regular basis
• Serve as SPOC for Product development activities entailing: Wiring Harness, PCB Assemblies etc
• Reviewing supplier documentation and collating documents for FAA approval of the project
