Job Description

Asteria Aerospace is a robotics and artificial intelligence company that develops drone - based solutions to provide actionable intelligence from aerial data. Our capabilities and intellectual property across the entire drone technology stack of hardware, software and analytics enable us to build deeply customized aerial remote sensing tools.

Specific Responsibilities :

  • Contribute to the overall product roadmap by familiarizing yourself with the product line s components and its potential impact on the market across all platforms web, tablet apps after careful consideration of the needs of internal and external parties
  • Lead development of new product offerings by conducting market research, user surveys, and the like to understand where and how we can satisfy unmet customer needs
  • Employ a range of qualitative (user discovery research, focus groups, usability studies, etc.) and quantitative (surveys, analytics, market research, etc.) methods to better understand our users needs. Evaluate market competition and position the product line so that it appeals to the customer.
  • Manage the product development process from conception, roadmap through design, build, release, analysis and iteration. Anticipate problems.
  • Be a critical voice of the users within Asteria Aerospace. Ensure we are doing everything we can to help users be more effective and contribute to their bottom line
  • Be Data Driven
  • Conduct A/B tests to understand how we can increase the desired use case(s) of our products

Qualifications: BA/BS Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, business, marketing, etc. and MBA preferred. A technical background is highly preferred

Desired Skills & Characteristics:

  • 4 - 6 years of experience developing cloud products, ideally with a background in technical product management and cloud engineering
  • Capacity to think strategically, and an ability to understand how product decisions are tied to key business drivers
  • Strong quantitative capabilities, and experience using analytics platforms to understand product usability
  • Familiarity with APIs, documentation, cloud system architecture
  • An understanding of what makes for good user experience and beautiful design
  • Knowledge of the drone/aerial remote sensing/GIS industry and markets is a plus
  • Self - motivated, able to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
