Job Description

A versatile and enthusiastic Quality Assurance Engineer with a special passion for product quality, sense of ownership and ability to stand up and enforce the quality required of a global product.

  • Academic Qualifications : Engineering BE/ BTECH (preferably in Computer Science, Electrical, Electronics) preferably with a Masters (ME/ MTech/MS).
  • Work Experience : A minimum of 3 yrs and ideally around 5 yrs in the system level quality assurance. You should have worked on both black-box and white-box testing. You should have extensively worked on defect tracking system and must have good knowledge on defect life-cycles. An experience in a product company is a must and you should have been involved in end to end QA activities of at least one product. Exposure to audio and video quality testing (subjective tests) will be an added plus.
  • Programming Skills : Proficiency in Unix/Linux shell scripting and C is mandatory. Additionally exposure to high level scripting languages like Perl, TCL/TK and Python etc is required. The person should have a demonstrated capability in test automation and automation suites.
  • Domain Knowledge : Good knowledge of the consumer multimedia and entertainment products and their functionality; hands on experience in testing such products is required. You should have gone through a complete product cycle and have had enough experience in writing structured test plans from scratch, getting it reviewed with the correct stakeholders and implementing the test scripts based on the plan. A good hold on operating system concepts, multi-processing environment and networking protocols is also required.
  • Aptitude : Enthusiastic, creative, team player and excellent communicator in English (spoken and written). Candidates with a demonstrated interest in sports will be given preference.
