Job Description

Responsible for our production infrastructure, including the servers and services which support our growing client base as well as designing and implementing highly scalable environments. This Engineer works with other teams in the organization and provides infrastructure solutions for their needs. Understands client systems and applications, networking, infrastructure, data centers, web tools and technologies, databases and Cloud, Big Data, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and more.Design new scalable solutions for fast changing infrastructure environment with complex needs in fields like: configuration deployments, monitoring, and logging. Perform deep drill down analysis into performance bottlenecks and provide necessary fixes. Bring in new ideas, change, evolve, improve and simplify the production infrastructure. Work closely with our development and research teams and provide customer friendly solutions and support. Responsible for working on the design, development, and/or deployment of enterprise supporting systems.BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. Suggested majors include Computer Science or Mathematics. Working knowledge of software development tools, methodologies, and programming languages. Experience working with external or internal customers to implement large scale solutions, business process architecture, application system design, and implementation. Design and implementation of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions using a variety of cloud platform services. Highly technical and analytical, possessing significant implementation and operations experience. Identifies solutions in experience of application or server architecture and networking. • The Infrastructure Services team is looking for a talented automation developer that can contribute to supporting common functionality such as automated patching, service deployments in Terraform, Chef Infrastructure, functional integration testing and test-in-production methods. Develop automated configuration audit tools to provide visibility into infrastructure compliance. The candidate will have 4-8 years of experience as outlined below, possess outstanding communication skills and work well in a fast paced agile team environment.

Education and Work Experience

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field of study
• Understanding of data models using relational databases and/or NoSQL.
• Experience in designing and building configuration automation for large datacenter or service provider infrastructure
• Experience developing in a continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) pipeline with working knowledge of container management and orchestration tools like Docker, Gitlab, Jenkins, Bamboo, etc.
• Track record of delivering assigned projects on time with high quality, using Agile, DevOps, and SRE practices and toolsets.
• System Administration and Release Engineering experience skills a plus

Technical Qualifications

• Experience with Linux OS environments and scripting/automation languages like Bash, PERL, etc.
• Understanding of standard services such as TCP/IP, DNS, LDAP, HTTP, etc.
• Demonstrated experience with object-oriented programming in languages like Python, Java, C++, etc. and application of development patterns like MVC, MVVM, etc.
• Working knowledge of one or more automation tools like Ansible, Chef, Terraform, etc.

Other requirements:

• Need to be flexible to work off-hour to patch and install system software during the maintenance windows.
