Roles and ResponsibilitiesJob purpose:This role will be responsible for the Product Quality of all SW Products, ensured by creating and implementing a robust test strategy and a test automation strategy for device SW as well as medical and non-medical standalone SW along with the Quality Assurance team and the Head of Quality.This role will have the reporting function to Test Managers and Test Leads within the SWQA team and along with them, will seek to improve quality assurance by exploring new technologies, use modern test tools to improve test efficiency and effectiveness and continuously work on increasing test automation coverage.Duties and responsibilitiescreate test strategy for multiple products and platforms to include API, UI and performance testing.create strategy for test automation and continuous increase of automation coverage for all products and platforms.effectively lead Test Managers and Test Leads including people in remote/offshore locations and ensure that their responsibilities are well executed by planning, delegating and monitoring their work.review individual test plans and test automation schedules to ensure that they fit the overall strategy.review test scenarios, test procedures and test cases on a sampling basis to ensure effective testing.help Test Managers set and track QA related KPIs.involve in planning to continuously improve test automation coverage and increase robustness and reliability of automation frameworks.review sample test code to ensure test implementations are accurate.be a part of the Risk Management process and ensure completeness for all medical products. This might include playing the Risk Manager role as required.participate in complaint management process from receiving the complaint form to following up and closing the complaint and final effectiveness check, including CAPA if necessary.explore and adopt new technologies in testing / quality assurance.identifying training requirements and organize trainings on latest tools and technologies. Authorized to assign and manage work packages to various test team members. Authorized to review and approve documents as per QMS requirements. Authorized to do performance appraisals of QA team members.QualificationsThe minimum necessary qualification is a Bachelor s degree in a relevant Engineering field.Total work experience of 15 plus years in the software industry with 5 years of experience managing a software testing and test automation team catering to multiple products.Knowledge of test planning and execution, test methodologies and tools are expected.Test management and test automation experience in various types of software including web[1]based, cloud-based and mobile app software is expected.Knowledge of various testing, test management and test automation tools.Test management experience in healthcare software is desirable.Experience in developing and using test automation framework desirable.Hands-on experience with a scripting language (C#-script/Javas /VB-script/Python) is desirable.Any certifications done, viz., ISTQB, MS certification, etc., will be of added value.
