Job Description

The Learning Programs team, under the Worldwide Readiness, Assessment, Certification, and Enablement (WWRACE), is seeking a candidate with a strong project/program management background for the role of Project Manager, Curriculum Development. Our team is responsible for providing enablement training for our internal sales team and partners, so knowledge of sales and sales methodologies is highly desirable.The candidate will be responsible for managing enablement projects with accountability for schedule, budget, and stakeholder satisfaction. This position combines knowledge of project management and curriculum development, as needed.Candidates for this position must have a strong understanding of project management methodologies to maintain and enhance existing procedures and guidelines while ensuring the highest possible level of enablement. Candidates for this position must also be able to manage multiple projects/programs to ensure team success and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders within and outside of the WWRACE organization. The successful candidate will also be able to drive process enhancements and tools optimization initiatives to ensure operational efficiency.VMware has a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment, which will require the candidate to handle shifting priorities, build strong, credible relationships, work with ambiguity, and distill a variety of feedback into consumable data and reference points to drive content, training, program and communications improvements.ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIESPlanning and Strategy

  • Align and engage with stakeholders, plan and organize project kick-off meetings
  • Confirm project scope and objectives, define a high-level schedule
  • Assess project risks, build mitigation strategies, generate buy-ins, and facilitate regular project meetings
Execution
  • Setup project infrastructure and create a detailed project schedule
  • Drive, collaborate, problem-solve, and manage a wide range of projects across a wide variety of modalities
    • Regular communication and key meeting management
    • Decision making, risk management, escalation, and change management
  • Deliver projects on time, to budget and quality standards from Initiation to Evaluation phases
Monitoring and Closure
  • Measure project performance using necessary tools and techniques maintaining required project documentation
  • Leverage and share best practices of project management with other team members
    • Participate in the growth of new methodologies, strategies, tools, training, and processes, particularly relating to implementing existing and new instructional design methodologies (Agile, ADDIE)
  • Drive data-driven decision making by leveraging the tools and thus enhancing operational efficiency
Stakeholder/Cross-Functional/Vendor Team Management
  • Manage complex relationships with cross-functional stakeholders in an environment with stringent deadlines and high business impact
  • Manage relationships with third-party vendors for projects outsourced
Risk/Issue Management
  • Proactively identify, assess and manage program risks and issues
  • Drive conflicts to resolution
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCEEducation/Training
  • Bachelor s degree or equivalent required with English language proficiency at CEFR Level B2
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) / Program Management Professional (PgMP) certification is a plus
  • Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, SharePoint, Power BI) and Project Management Tools (MS Project, Smartsheet)
Experience
  • Minimum of 5+ years experience in a project or program manager role in an education division for an Enterprise Software Company
  • Leveraging demonstrated project management skills and simultaneously overseeing multiple projects and optimizing project resources.
  • Extensive and successful record of working with stakeholders from a variety of backgrounds and roles to achieve desired results

  • Clear, professional, and concise communications (written/verbal), presentation and facilitation skills
