Job Description

IntroductionWe are looking for Test Automation Engineer, who will be working on our cloud-based offerings and Solutions to validate the features and automate the Backend DB workflows, ensure that the Best in class Quality Standards are met. Need to participate in collaboration meetings where various automation frameworks, test tools and methodologies are involved. You will work closely with other team members on technical issues, feature validations, create and maintain test automation frameworks, and help solving complex problems and take ownership of the Test Validations and Test Automation tasks.   • Work with Offering Teams, Product Owners and Partners to understand the project requirements and design efficient test plans and test coverage
  • Create, maintain and execute various Functional and Automation Tests using Java and various Backend Databases
  • Understand, solve and debug the issues using Testing Tools and techniques, report such issues and perform the defect validations time to time
  • Actively work on Setup and Maintenance of the Test Lab and Test Automation Infrastructure
  • Collaborate with Agile Teams and contribute in Continuous Testing processes

Required Professional and Technical Expertise
  • At least 8+ years of Experience in QA / Test Automation
  • Working knowledge in Agile Projects, Operating Systems, Database Systems and DevOps environments
  • Expert in numerous Testing methodologies ranging from Regression, Performance, Stress, Load, Security, Scalability, Error Injection, Platform etc
  • Expertise in Java+ SQL Programming along with experience in Data-Driven Test Framework Design and Development
  • Proficient in the Backend DB Architecture and workflow, involving MYSQL / MS SQL / Oracle environments
  • Proven ability in writing SQL queries for data validations and Configuring and scripting DB workload generators like JMeter
  • Proficient understanding of Git source code repository along with Jenkins and its modules for continuous testing
  • In-depth knowledge in Test case Management and Defect Tracking systems like JIRA, RQM and RTC
Preferred Professional and Technical Expertise
  • Working knowledge on OS Platforms including Windows, Linux, AIX and Hypervisors
  • Experience in DB Administration like Log Shipping, Archival, Mirroring, Dataguard, Backup and Restore with NetBackup
  • Proficient in DB specific data-driven testing and workflow visualization
  • Experience in cloud Environments like AWS / IBM Softlayer / Azure
  • Basic Networking Knowledge and troubleshooting skills and Selenium Protractor and HP UFT
