Job Description

The Regional Services (GPS) Operations Manager leads one of IDBS regional Professional Services team. Key to the role is an ability attract, retain and develop a consulting team that can support growth in profitable services revenues through geographic and service offering and by demonstrating a strong understanding of business value in order to ensure customer success is realized.Duties and ResponsibilitiesSupports the team in defining, explaining and implementing IDBS platforms to meet customer needs, communicating in a manner that addresses the customer s specific requirements, advising the customer of IDBS experience and in doing so adding value to the customer interaction, including

  • Liaison with the project partners to lead expectations and address risks
  • Development of high-quality, ongoing customer relationships to increase stickiness and identify new ways in which IDBS can add value
  • Recommends and implements technology and consulting strategies, policies and procedures by evaluating organizational outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements
  • Experience in project management experience in documentation, tracking, communicating bugs, enhancement.
  • Client interaction to understand change request and project delivery.
  • Experience in leading teams and ensuring timely completion of projects.
  • Leading teams in developing quality methodologies and quality improvement
  • Collaborating with cross functional teams and working on automation / RPA for optimization of efficiencies and reduce defects.
  • Leading implementation of lean portfolio management practices.
  • Builds strong customer relationships allowing technology and solution strategy to be discussed, planned and implemented
  • Works with regional/country leads to implement common processes and practices that lead to increased services revenue, margin growth and customer advocacy as part of a distributed team passionate about customer success
Leadership
  • Key role in transition of new engagements
  • Ensure a highly motivated and effective team where talent is retained, and succession strategies developed and executed.
  • Interview, select, mentor and appraise the performance of associated GPS team members.
  • Build a positive team environment displaying high levels of motivation and excellent team spirit.
Quality Management
  • Support the Continuous Improvement of the department s Quality Management System (QMS) in line with IDBS ISO9001, ISO27001 and all other quality accreditations and standards.
  • Actively participate in Customer and Internal Audits.
  • Nurture a Quality attitude within the team.
Required Proficiencies
  • Bachelors degree in a science or stats subject area
  • A passion for people leadership to empower people to perform their best while helping them develop in their career.
  • Strong verbal and written communication with the ability to listen actively while giving consideration to the views of others.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in LIMS/ E-workbook/biocore/affinity binding/ flowcytometry
