The successful candidate will collaborate with project teams to understand SAP business scenarios and contribute to the design and execution of UFT scripts for a large dataset using test management tools. This role requires coordination with functional business analysts, technical developers, and vendors to generate test execution and defect reports.Responsibilities:
• Understand the SAP implementation and define requirements for automation.
• Design and execute automation test scripts for functional and regression testing based on requirements for the SAP workstreams.
• Maintain automation scripts in ALM/Test Management tool and execute them.
• Design and execute UFT scripts using multiple frameworks for SAP applications.
• Author automation test plans and test scripts, conduct workload analysis, and may serve as a coordinator.
• Collaborate with various workstream business users to clarify requirements and analyze end-to-end business scripts for automation scope.
• Demonstrate a good understanding of SAP ERP applications and STLC lifecycle.
• Create regression and functional test cases and ensure adherence to automation test design principles.
• Utilize UFT with VB Script to design test scripts.
• Perform automation test analysis and reporting using HP ALM.
• Execute UFT tests, including smoke tests and SAP functional and automation scripts.
• Update and maintain regression tests based on ongoing application, tool, and environment changes.
• Work closely with developers and analysts in an agile manner.
• Ensure adherence to standards and guidelines through QA reviews.
• Complete system tests, document outcomes, and resolve any issues.
• Identify, recommend, and implement changes to enhance software quality assurance strategies.
• Assume responsibility for day-to-day automation activities and reporting the status.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors Degree or Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.
• Good understanding of SAP ERP applications.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
• Strong analytical skills, perseverance, and a high degree of initiative and independence.
• Strong customer and partner interface skills.
Knowledge and Skills:
• Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in automating SAP applications using UFT and ALM Test Management tools.
• Proficiency in designing, executing, and maintaining UFT scripts.
• In-depth knowledge of SAP ERP applications.
• Expertise in Test/Defect Management Tools (HP ALM) and JIRA.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in various applications and infrastructure setups.
• Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills.
• Effective problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a team-focused environment across multiple projects.
• Willingness to work overtime and non-standard shifts when necessary.
• This position will be located at our E-City, Bangalore, India facility (13.30 to 22.30 IST).
Nice to have:
• Knowledge of other commercial/open-source test automation frameworks and tools.
• Experience in creating frameworks using UFT/ALM.
