Job Description

    D Role Practice Head Description Practice Head solution development, practice delivery andP&L for the identified area, and enhances capability of thepractice through leveraging appropriate thought leadership &competency development initiatives. S/he leads the group of consultantsand analysts from a utilization & capability building perspective.S/he actively supports business development & solutioninginitiatives for existing or new customers in collaboration with theConsulting Partner team & the Pre-Sales groups. VP partners handleresponsibilities of higher complexity, scope & strategicpositioning. Responsibilities Holds theoverall P&L responsibility for the domain practice, which functionslike a horizontal, and work with the various verticals &accounts at Wipro Developsroadmap for industry segment/competency; Competitive Service offerings,domain embedded solutions Buildsactive partnerships with solution providers and alliance partners, andanalysts Offers in-depth domain expertise in account engagements Manages teamtargets and goals in line with practice plan. Builds anopportunity pipeline with multiple clients and collaborates withConsulting Partners & Sales teams in sales activities Collaborateswith other practices and builds bespoke propositions from understandingof offering and client business. Participatesactively in an industry or solution-related networking organization inthe community (present a paper, serve on a committee, etc.). Stimulatesdemand for solutions by adding fresh insight or customizing to meetevolving client/market needs. Ensuresprojects are adequately staffed and deliver high quality of work Ensuresoverall utilization targets for the practice are met, and premiumbilling rates realized for the domain experts. Holds the overall P&L responsibility for the domainpractice, which functions like a horizontal, and work with the variousverticals & accounts at Wipro Develops roadmapfor industry segment/competency; Competitive Service offerings, domainembedded solutions Builds active partnerships with solutionproviders and alliance partners, and analysts Offers in-depth domain expertise in account engagements Manages teamtargets and goals in line with practice plan Builds anopportunity pipeline with multiple clients and collaborates withConsulting Partners & Sales teams in sales activities Collaborates with other practices and builds bespoke propositions fromunderstanding of offering and client business Participatesactively in an industry or solution-related networking organization inthe community (present a paper, serve on a committee, etc.) Stimulates demand for solutions by adding fresh insight or customizingto meet evolving client/market needs Ensures projects areadequately staffed and deliver high quality of work Ensuresoverall utilization targets for the practice are met, and premiumbilling rates realized for the domain experts Certifications & Assessments Required Domain Certifications (External / Internal) andaccreditations Masters Degree or equivalent in BusinessAdministration or relevant domain certifications & qualifications Knowledge Must Have: Subject Matter Expert in the area of specialization ( Sought after asan industry expert) Understanding of inter- and intra-enterprise business models, marketstructures, exchange models, and supporting applications Deep understanding of the market and external environment (STEPLE* -Social, Technological, Economical, Political, Legal & Environmentalcontexts) Awareness of global industry trends and directions and its impact onIT services May hold membership of a related professional body Preferred: NA Experience Must Have: More than 18 years of industry and/or management consultingexperience involving industry solution deployment , strategy, planning,and systems design Proven ability in building teams from scratch, resource planning,staff planning and technical planning in support of all domain relatedactivities. Proven experience in handling teams, motivation issues & rewards. Has spent sufficient time in mentoring, developing andencouraging, individuals. Experience across at least 2 of Analysis and Advisory Services,Defining & Implementing Deploy Recommendations, managing ADM andOperation based projects Experience of managing P&L / Financial targets of significantrevenue size, scope and complexity Demonstrated ability to identify risks to the company in anycommercial award. Contributes to external learning forums, journals, seminars etc. Preferred: Proven experience in developing and managing client relationships Presented in Industry Domain Forums ; has IP to his/her credit Behavioral Competencies Client Centricity Execution Excellence Collaborative Working Nurturing People Passion for Results Strategic Perspective,
