Northern Trust is recruiting for an Associate Auditor to join the IT Audit Services function. Based in Bangalore, the role supports the delivery of technology internal audit projects (infrastructure, application, cybersecurity) across business units to conclude on the design and operating effectiveness of the technology internal control environment in order to improve the management of risk in support of regulatory obligations, corporate governance, and reporting requirements. Participants will gain hands on experience and learn about technology processes and standards supporting Northern Trust s global operations, the risks that Northern Trust faces, and the controls designed to keep our technologies and business operations safe.Title: Technology Audit Services - Associate AuditorThe key responsibilities of the role include: Develop an understanding of the Audit Services IT Internal Audit Charter, Policy and Methodology Develop an understanding of Northern Trusts business units, products and services, and operating environment and the associated technology risks, controls, and processes Interact regularly with different NT business units and technology stakeholders to discuss audit controls, processes, results Work with business partners to deliver audit testing and perform research as requested Attend walkthroughs with business partners and gain an understanding of the technology systems and processes, and recommend improvements for potential control gaps Escalate findings to the audit team lead Work with senior management in preparing periodic reporting to stakeholdersRequired Qualifications Prior technology coursework or experience Pursuing a bachelor s/post graduate degree from a university in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or other related discipline Cumulative undergraduate GPA of at least 3.0 or equivalent to 65% Good communication skills (both verbal and writing) with an ability to develop positive relationships and interact with individuals from multiple backgrounds Keen observer and listener with strong analytical skills and attention to detail and accuracy Professional curiosity and personal commitment to quality, delivery, and control improvement Good organizational, planning and time management skills with the ability to complete projects timely and of high quality Willingness to learn-on-the-fly and apply critical thinking when faced with ambiguity Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPointHighly Desired Qualifications: Information Security, IT Audit or IT Risk Management internship or work experience Awareness of Information Security disciplines, such as secure application development methodologies, penetration testing, threat intelligence, and security awareness Awareness of Information Technologies related to operating systems, databases, and networking devices and concepts Analytical, quantitative and problem solving skills, along with adaptability and ability to learn quickly in high-pressure environments Knowledge and interest in the financial services industryWorking with Us: As a Northern Trust partner, greater achievements await.
