Job Description

    Job DescriptionExperience
    • 3-6 years of relevant post-graduate work experience or demonstrated work experience in data science related roles required.
    • Experience with supervised and unsupervised machine learning theory and practice.
    • Experience in Relational and NoSQL databases.
    • Experience in Amazon Web Services/Azure is a plus.
    • Experience in automotive industry is a plus.
    Skills
    • Primary Skills
      • Willingness to learn.
      • Applied statistics skills, such as distributions, statistical testing, regression, etc.
      • Python, R
      • NoSQL databases like Cassandra, HBase.
      • MySQL, PostgreSQL
      • Machine learning techniques and algorithms, such as k-NN, Naive Bayes, SVM, Decision Forests, ALS, etc.
      • Excellent communication, interpersonal, convincing, analytical and problem solving skills.
    • Secondary Skills
      • Java/Scala/C#/C++
      • Knowledge of Tableau
      • Exposure to Hadoop, MapReduce
      • Apache Spark and its libraries like Mllib etc.
      • Knowledge of Kafka
    Job Responsibilities
    • Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis.
    • Data mining using state-of-the-art methods.
    • Selecting features, building and optimizing classifiers using machine learning techniques.
    • Doing ad-hoc analysis and presenting results in a clear manner
    • Produce and maintain well-documented code.
    • Issue tracking, analysis and reporting.
    • Perform code reviews.
    • Mentor new/inexperienced members of the team.
