Job DescriptionThorough understanding of processes and procedures in System Engineering incl. MBSE (Model-based SE) and can handle SE-Safety role for standard projects without support (completely independent and on time)Thorough understanding of ISO26262 Vol. 3 and of mapping to Bosch development processes and be able to research regulation, standards and state-of-the-art to find an apply appropriate elements for the safety design of the systemOrganize teamwork incl. work split and responsibilities with relevant stakeholders of component and sub-/systems (review work products with components, know relevant stakeholders, define interfaces, enable communication, ability to lead and work in teams)Be able to establish work products in simple or modify work products in complex systems with the below taskso Establish item definition based on project lead / customer definitiono Establish HARA to (changed) system topology without helpo Solid understanding of System under Development (system understanding, effect chain)o Assure optimized application of System under Development contracted systems of Interesto Establish simple and modify complex Functional Safety Concept based on effect chain analysis and functional description and hazardso Contribute and redefine main system architecture model concerning aspects of functional safetyo Define Safety Requirements on System Level to be covered by SuD and interfaces to SoI based on FSCo Establish a complete requirement-based set of test goals and verification/validation criteria (safety system test engineer: test design, test cases)Contribute to System FMEA and Effect Chain Analysis to achieve completenessDerive Metric Requirements (focus on FIT Rates) for sub-components of SuD as input for TSC on component-level (therefore method competence and participation in FTA/Safety Analysis required, i.e. no moderation/tool know-how required)Derive Technical Safety Requirements (TSR) for sub-components of System under Development as input for TSC on component-levelBasic understanding of TSCs of sub-componentsAnalyze and evaluate the test-results based on performed test and provide recommendation for system safety release to project management based on e.g. test resultsThorough understanding of SysML incl. ability to read, understand architecture modelsIn platform or customer projects, the System Engineer - Functional Safety is responsible for the content of system development activities relating to product safety in accordance with ISO 26262, CD00214, MP-308.08 Product Safety and MP-308.09 Functional Safety.The System Engineer - Functional Safety is the technical expert and be responsible for the safety concepts of PS-EM (eAxle/EM) productsTogether with the SE-FS-PE, the SE-FS-eAxle implements the set safety target of the PSM+/PSMMember of the extended project team and Expert teams FuSi, HV-safety, NoTi, if necessaryDerivation of technical safety requirements (TSR) based on the agreed functional safety requirements (FSR) with their safety objectives and integrities (ASIL)Develop platform/customer-specific system concepts with safety reference for the different subsystems developed by PS-EMResponsible for the definitions of safety-relevant functions and their error reactions as well as the documentation in the error reaction planSupport of the project teams on questions of the technical safety concept for the subsystems developed by PS-EMSupport of customer acquisition teams during request for quotation (RFQ), concerning safety related topicsParticipation in safety-related release tests and review of system concepts with a safety aspect for platform/customer projectsParticipation in PS-EM technical teams for the analysis of safety-relevant issuesStatus reporting of the assigned work packages to the PSM+/PSMSystem safety responsibility in the working group for the preparation of product FMEA/FTA/FMEDA /DRBFM/DFAParticipation in customer meetings to support discussions about the technical safety-concept of the system development (on demand)Evaluate the impact of provided change requests and bug fixes on the safety concept for the different subsystems for which PS-EM is responsibleRecommendation of further product safety goals for identified risks and discussion in the FuSi technical team,
