Roles and ResponsibilitiesRoles and Responsibilities: Lead rotating machinery design projects in the power generation, propulsion and/or oiland gas sectors. Carry out project planning and execution from system-level architecturethrough detailed design and manufacturing. Responsible for the design, analysis, and testing of rotating machinery components andsystems including conceptual design, detailed design, testing, validation, and productimplementation. Work with other support functions and/or external suppliers to meet project deliverables. Prepare and participate in project and technical reviews. Provide expertise to resolve technical challenges across the organization. Participate in technology road mapping and competitive assessment to drive newtechnology programs. Work with internal and external collaborators in developing new project proposals andinitiatives. Provide technical guidance and direction across the group to grow overall technicalcapability and product knowledge in technical focus areas. Provide technical development across the organization through effectivecoaching/mentoring. Foster a multidisciplinary and inclusive team environment.Required Qualifications: PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Applied Mechanics inrotating machinery and/or rotating components design with a minimum of 7 years ofindustrial experience or MS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, orApplied Mechanics in rotating machinery and/or rotating components design and aminimum of 10 years of industrial experience. Experience in leading rotating machine design projects in the power generation, propulsionand/or oil and gas sectors. Extensive experience with product design constraints, manufacturing techniques andmaterial processing selections in turbomachinery and electrical machines. Extensive experience in conceptual design, build up and validation of full-scale rotatingmachinery incorporating new or experimental technology. Expertise with the design, analysis (including finite element analysis) and testing ofrotating machinery components (e.g., shafts, bearings, dampers, couplings, seals, gears,etc.) including conceptual design, detailed design, testing, validation, and productimplementation. Experience in conceiving, developing, and carrying out experiments in rotating componenthardware and transferring component level tests into full scale hardware solutions. Strong Interpersonal, leadership and communication skills in a global team environment. Strong analytical skills. Execution mindset and sense of urgency. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Ability to work across all functions/levels as part of a team. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Desired Characteristics: Proficiency using 3D solid modeling software (e.g., NX, SOLIDWORKS, Creo) and finiteelement analysis using ANSYS. Experience in system modeling - coupling of fluid, thermal, and structural analyses. Rotor support structural design experience. Extensive testing of rotating component, data acquisition, data reduction and designvalidation. Proficiency using ADRE and LMS data acquisition and reduction systems. ,
