Job Description

Department ResponsibilitiesWe are building an Analytics platform for the Cloud. This platform Decision Management Platform facilitates the rapid development of decisioning solutions and applications leveraging FICO IP in descriptive analytics, predictive models, business rules, mathematical optimization as well as the management and monitoring of strategies and decisions.We are looking for technologists with a passion for high performance software development and a desire to rapidly deliver cutting edge software products that delight users and drive revenue. The person filling this role will manage one of the software engineering teams focused on the design and development of the software necessary to support FICO s Portal.Position DescriptionRoles and Responsibilities

  • Provide technical and managerial leadership
  • Actively assist with the architecture, design, implementation, and maintenance of the FICO Portal
  • Collaborate with Product Management to identify, prioritize and document detailed product requirements
  • Lead efforts to improve the Portal s availability, performance, reliability, and scalability characteristics
  • Recruitment and retention of top talent
  • Act as a mentor for more junior members of the development team
Working Conditions
  • Work in small, agile teams, designing & developing new features for FICO s Portal
  • Highly collaborative environment co-located with other product development teams in FICOs Bangalore office
  • Work outside normal business hours sometimes required
Candidate DescriptionEducation and/or CertificationsMS or BS in Computer Science or relevant technical field highly desirableExperience and Qualifications6-10 years in commercial software developmentTechnical Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, show initiative and respond quickly in a fast-paced collaborative environment
  • Deep understanding of software development lifecycle processes and Agile development methodologies
  • Solid knowledge of and proficiency applying object-oriented design techniques and software design patterns leveraging Java and various Java frameworks
  • Deep experience with SQL, Linux, and Web application development/debugging
  • Deep experience with JQuery and similar Javascript libraries, AJAX, UI development, HTML, CSS, and cross-browser scripting
  • Experience with REST-based web services
  • Cloud-based application development experience highly desirable
