Baxter s employees worldwide are building upon the company s rich heritage of medical breakthroughs to advance the next generation of healthcare innovations that enable patient care.Position OverviewThe Senior Manager Software, is responsible for software level R&D activities related to the Acute Therapies ( Acute Therapies ) products PrisMax and Prismaflex including both the device software and the digital software (TrueVue) platforms.The Senior Manager Software, will lead the software team in Bangalore and provide functional, technological and process expertise and guidance.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Contribute to strategic planning and technical roadmap development and accountable for tactical execution of development programs spanning across the product portfolio
• Effectively communicate and realize vision and strategy for the organization that aligns with the business and patient needs.
• Leverages deep knowledge of software technology/process/therapy domains and budgets to drive solutions and product design realization.
• Establish an organization that ensures clear accountability and operational excellence.
• Provide strategic planning leadership for resource staffing and project execution with proactive management of technical and project risk to ensure delivery of business commitments.
• Create a strong engineering culture in the organization with focus on design and architectural thinking to drive software quality and reliability goals leveraging the culture levers of Speed, Simplicity, Collaboration and Courage.
• Embrace and embed agile ways of working in support of a fail-fast-learn-fast culture and enabling continual improvement.
• Foster a collaborative work environment with strong working relationships within and across businesses and functions, and with strategic external partners.
• Maintain current knowledge of relevant Quality System Regulations and other regulatory requirements related to research and development (product development, design and safety) to ensure compliance in all research, data collection and reporting activities.
• Qualifications & Skills
• Bachelors/Masters degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics or equivalent.
• 13+ years of Product development experience with at least 5 years in Functional management/People leadership roles.
• Significant experience in leading teams in Software Engineering in embedded technologies for complex engineering products
• Experience in driving IoT technology for products with preferable exposure to native digital technologies (cloud, big data and predictive) in organizations driving product development.
• Change Agent Catalyst for the teams and expected to lead the transformation to a fail-fast-learn-fast culture enabling continual improvement.

• Understanding of global regulatory requirements, design control requirements (FDA QS Regulation 21 CFR Part 820, ISO 13485), Risk management ISO 14971 and Cybersecurity requirements.
