• Optimum use of corporate tax incentives in proposed business activities
• Tax planning strategies
• Advising on withholding tax obligations on payments
• Ensure deposit of all statutory dues on or before due dates.
• IT/ TDS returns and compliances
• Tax Audit and TP Compliances.
• Ensure timely submission of Master file and CBCR compliances.
• Tax provisioning based on the advance tax calculations.
• Tax Computation and deferred tax calculation
• Advisory and compliances on DTAAs (Outbound and Inbound)
• Interaction with Tax authorities/Sr Tax officials
• Handling notices, appeals, Writ before CIT, Tribunal and High Court.
• Handling investigation, Search & Seizure proceedings by the Tax authority.
• Ensure timely reply to all notices, Summons, Investigation.
• Ensure timely MIS reporting.
• Closely work with Tax consultants such as Big 4 and Sr. advocates on litigation strategy, submissions.
• Seeking opinions from experts (such as big4 & Senior Counsel)
• Assistance in enhancing ERP systems to meet Tax management requirements(for implementing new amendments as per the statutory mandate or necessary automation to improve compliance process and timelines.)
Professional Qualifications:
• Chartered Accountant/ Cost Accountant
• Additional qualifications (nice to have): Company secretary/ LLB
Skill set required
• Expert understanding of domestic tax laws, international tax laws, transfer pricing, and working knowledge of IDT laws
• Working knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS etc.
• Good interpretation Skills.
• Strong written/verbal communication, facilitation, relationship-building, presentation and negotiation skills
• Independent Decision making
• Very High Standards of integrity and work ethics.
• Be highly flexible, team player, adaptable and creative
• Comfortable in interacting with senior executives
• Strong leadership skills and supervisory responsibility
• Highly adaptive and collaborative to work in a fast-changing work environment.
• Ability to work in high tech and data driven organization.
• Proficiency with common ERPs, eg SAP, Oracle, Tally
• Resourceful and hands-on with new initiatives
Ideal past work experience:
• 8-12 years of DT, transfer pricing experience, International Tax, in a large company or Big-4
