Senior/ Principal Hardware Development Engineer Job in Statewide, Karnataka for Microchip Technology Inc. | Technical Senior/ Principal Hardware Development EngineerSenior/ Principal Hardware Development Engineer Job Description As a Senior/ Principal Hardware Development Engineer you will be responsible for working through all phases of Hardware Product development that encompasses Architecture, Complex High Speed Design and Development, Testing and Qualification to Production launch. Products leverage Microchip developed complex ASICs that have high speed interfaces such as PCIe Gen2/ 3/ 4/ 5, DDR2/ 3/ 4, 1/ 10 Gigabit Ethernet, SAS/ SATA 3G/ 6G/ 12G/ 24G and are primarily intended to be used in Storage Applications but can span several vertical markets. A successful candidate will be a key player in the advancement of Microchip s strategic product direction.Senior/ Principal Hardware Development Engineer Roles and Responsibilities: Experience in all aspects of complex hardware design. Solid background in Architecture, Design and Development, Testing, Qualification and Documentation of Boards. Firm understanding of high speed board design. Experience with Product Release from concept to production. Experience with FPGA/ CPLD device programming. Review hardware ECO s as necessary and provide engineering support. Responsible for developing or reviewing Functional Hardware Specification. Test and debug Prototype designs, Support operations production failures. Realization of complex system requirements to provide robust and reliable hardware solutions Collaboration with other team members (including both hardware and software engineers) to agree system designs, interfaces and protocols etc. Development of appropriate test hardware and procedures, to prove the correct operation of hardware. Provide support for the hardware and manage component obsolescence throughout its lifecycle Job Requirements Required Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Electronics Engineering, preferred Masters degree. 8+ years industry related experience. Excellent analytical and debugging skills and the ability to proactively solve issues. Excellent teamwork and time management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Deep knowledge and experience in complex high- speed design and layout. Preferred Qualifications 3+ years storage industry experience Engineering Proto Board to Production Experience with embedded software. Experience in measuring and characterizing high speed signals using TDR, VNA, Oscilloscopes, BERT Scope Excellent oral/ written communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills. Outstanding organizational, prioritization, and multitasking skills. Exceptional skills influencing, teaming, and delivering solutions in a highly complex, always changing, and sometimes nebulous environment.,
