Our expertise includes integrating hardware, processes, methodologies and software into the customer environment.About Business Unit:Global Operations IT org owns the IT systems for Manufacturing, operations, Plan and procure, Inventory , logistics and fulfillment. It is hiring a Senior Prinicipal SW Engineer IT for one of its programs. As part of this you will lead the development effort on a variety of projects in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment. Your role is to design and develop solutions to real market problems. You will work closely with Business partners, Architects, Testing teams and software engineers to develop new product offerings and improve existing ones. This position reports to the IT Manager of Development.Key Responsibilities:develop new applications, and enhance existing components for the applications, using Java/.Net technologies in a cloud native development environment.Keep up to date on latest software development technologies and methodologies.Drive or contribute to development of frameworks and reusable component standards as necessary.Provide production support to operational staff on key issues as need arises and during release of new softwareCandidate should be able to work in global development environmentDesigning user interaction models, workflows and user interfacesIntegrating internal and external product design into a cohesive user experienceSuccessfully communicating conceptual ideas and design rationaleBe able to setup and execute CICDShould have experience in TDDCandidate should be able to work in global development environment and take up leadership in providing the IT solution.

  • Ensures the overall integrity, affordability and viability of solutions.
  • Highlight areas of high complexity and offer the business options to reduce complexity and increase efficiencies.
  • Document high-level design using appropriate design artifacts. Communicate high-level design to key stakeholders, technical leads and development team.
  • Capable of low-level design and code review when needed produced by development team to insure adherence to design.
  • Maintain vision/strategy for evolving applications over time in the design roadmap. Communicate to stakeholders and teams appropriately.
  • Ensure application designs meet functional Requirement and NFR goals (ex. performance, scalability, availability).
  • Conduct design retrospectives after major milestones and increment completion.
  • Update design roadmap and application standards as necessary based on the retrospective results.
  • Ensures the appropriate use of existing technology assets, shared resources and common utilities to achieve maximum reuse and interoperability.
Essential Requirements: 12+ years of experience leading large design and development efforts and coordinating project teams of 5 or more membersShould have hands on experience in minimum four of the below technical stacks.- Java, Java Spring Boot, Micro services architecture OR .Net Core technologies and cloud native development- HTML5/CSS 3.0, AngularJS,- Rabbit MQ. Kafka, Stream Sets NOSQL DB - Mongo DB, Cassandra etc,- In MEM cache DB(redis/memsql)- Pivotal Cloud Foundry or any Cloud Technology- Tableau, Power BI Hadoop, HDFS, Spark- Data Science: AI/ML, R, Python- Mobile - Android/Ios developers (Lower priority)- Automated Testing, DevOps - CI/CDProven track record of successfully delivering high volume and high availability transactional applications under tight time constraints.Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilitiesAbility to communicate design rationale and build consensus with patterns and frameworksAbility to prioritize and manage work to critical project timelines in a fast-paced environmentAbility to develop innovative approaches to complex design problemsMust be organized, have an eye for detail, and be able to put ideas into a tangible form.
