QualiTest is looking for Senior Ran Test Engineer in our Test Center in Bangalore, India.
1. RAN (2G, 3G, and 4G LTE), exposure to 5G would be a plus
2. Hands on testing of the RAN systems (BSCBTS, RNCNodeB, eNodeB, and associated OSS systems)
3. Exposure to mobile core and integration with RAN
Requirements
Role: As a RAN testing professional, you would be independent in analyzing the testing requirements, perform requirements review, preparing test scenarios test cases, run test cases report & follow up on defects.
Support test lead test manager in test planning activities.
Able to participate and contribute to the project & technical calls. Has good written and oral communication
Years of experience: -
Hands on testing in RAN for 3 to 5 years
Knowledge & experience:
1. Very good relevant industry knowledge of RAN (2G, 3G, and 4G). Knowledge and exposure to 5G
2. Good breadth of knowledge of other technical areas of work; e.g. Mobile Core, IP or VASI, Network Support OSS.
3. Very good knowledge is required in the testing of the RAN systems (BSCBTS, RNCNodeB, eNodeB, and associated OSS systems, and an overall general knowledge of IT & Networks.
4. Able to describe the key elements of a mobile network and understand how the components function and interact.
5. Understand the detail of how a call is made and received over the network and the systems it touches en route.
6. Technical understanding of the connectivity between RAN and CN systems.
7. Good knowledge of the Testing and Project Life-cycle.
8. Ability to influence test processes and technical aspects of RAN testing
Responsibility:
Responsible for the integration plan, test specifications and scripts, test execution, defect management and the coordination of the environment design and deployment
Independent in analyzing the testing requirements, perform requirements review, preparing test scenarios test cases, run test cases report & follow up on defects
Maintain up to date test log covering defects, issues and concerns to be able to mitigate risks and issues
Taking accountability for the verification of new or modified systems or services introduced in the live environment as part of the handover to operations
Participate and contribute to the project & technical calls. Possess good written and oral communication
Support Test manager in test planning activities
Support and mentor the team members in technical and non-technical areas including new technologies, processes etc.
Provide ideas for improvements and value adds
Qualification : BEBTechMCA or equivalent in Electronics, Computing, Telecommunications
Tools : RF RAN test equipment, Wireshark, xCAL, HPALM
