The Service Engineer will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing CNC machinery at client sites. This role requires strong technical skills, a solid understanding of CNC systems, and the ability to work independently while delivering exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities: -
• Installation & Commissioning:
• Perform the installation and commissioning of CNC machines at customer sites, ensuring proper setup, calibration, and integration with other systems.
• Conduct machine testing to verify optimal performance according to manufacturer specifications.
• Troubleshooting & Repairs:
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and software issues in CNC machines.
• Perform repairs and replace faulty components to restore machine functionality quickly and efficiently.
• Preventive Maintenance:
• Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend the life of CNC machines.
• Inspect and service machines regularly to identify potential issues before they result in operational disruptions.
• Technical Support:
• Provide technical support to customers by addressing their questions and resolving issues related to machine performance.
• Assist clients with machine programming, software updates, and control system adjustments.
• Training & Documentation:
• Train customer personnel on the operation, maintenance, and safety practices related to CNC machines.
• Prepare and maintain detailed service reports, documenting all work completed, parts replaced, and recommendations for future service.
• Customer Interaction:
• Build strong relationships with customers by providing timely and professional service.
• Collaborate with the sales team to provide feedback on customer needs and opportunities for additional services or machine upgrades.
Requirements:
• Education:
• Diploma or Bachelors degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
• Experience:
• Proven experience as a Service Engineer or Technician in the CNC machinery or manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of CNC machine systems and mechanical components.
• Skills:
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and machine drawings.
• Strong problem-solving skills with expertise in diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and software issues.
• Hands-on experience with machine tools, electrical systems, PLCs, and automation components.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients and colleagues.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools, hand tools, and test equipment.
