Job Description

*The candidate will play the role of the ServiceNow Developer in the tooling team of the Global service desk organization of Schneider Electric. This position requires the candidate to be an expert in ServiceNow design and development principles that enables them to work with external development partners and key stakeholders, following best practices. The candidate will join an existing team, working to support a global enterprise application delivering quality solutions. They will help define, configure, and develop the IT operation management module. Focusing on ITSM, in addition, the candidate will support the run and delivery of HRSM, CSM and ITOM within the Schneider Electric ServiceNow Instance. Responsibilities:
• A Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• A minimum of 3 to 5 Years of working experience with ServiceNow modules like ITSM, HR SM, Service Portal, CSM, CMDB, Asset Management, Custom Applications, and App Certification is an added advantage.
• A minimum of 3 years experience with ServiceNow app development.
• 3 to 5 years of development experience with creating simple/complex customer-facing web or mobile applications is a plus.
• Expertise level understanding of ServiceNow Platform & its capabilities are required.
• Understand the business needs and the needs to standardize processes and build this into the design. and being able to transform customer requirements into a high-level (architectural) solution or supporting model.
• Good understanding of service-oriented architecture, software application architecture, and the ability to consult with customers about these topics.
• Experience with web technologies JavaScript, ES5+, HTML, CSS/SCSS, SQL. Experience in one or more JavaScript frameworks like AngularJS or React is a plus.
• Knowledge of web-based protocols and standards (Web services, SOAP, REST, WSDL, XML);
• Good understanding of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, design patterns, and performance/scale considerations.
• Familiar with Scrum and Agile way of working and developments. Being able to lead small project teams is a plus.
• Result-oriented and good communication skills
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
• Good leadership skills coupled with exceptional judgment and tact.
• Strong expertise in industry standard Enterprise and Solution Architecture Frameworks and Governance
• Excellent knowledge and experience developing in JavaScript
• Strong analytical skills capable of assessing complex business requirements from real world scenarios and the ability to translate them into actionable target architectures, readily understood models and architectural plans
• Deep technical proficiency while the ability to keeping an eye on the bigger picture
• Ability to identify, prioritize, & weigh different options, while balancing business, cost, and technology priorities to determine a best solution
• Contributing to and driving global technology standard proposals and filing exceptions as required
• Excellent knowledge of infrastructure technologies, architectures, standards & processes, and a good understanding of infrastructure engineering processes
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work effectively with clients and team members across multiple geographies
• Good relationship building, facilitation & influencing skills, and experience of leveraging these on both ITS and business leadership contexts
• Flexibility to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity, and rapid change
• Working on Agile / Scrum development process
• Past experience on Programming skills like Java Script, Core Java & Web Services, Jelly Scripting
, * Certifications:
• Certified as ServiceNow System Administrator (CSA)
• Certified as ServiceNow Application Developer (CAD)
• Certified ServiceNow Implementation Specialist in HR Service Management
• Mirco-Certified Service Portal, ATF, Flow Designer, Integration Hub, HR Onboarding and Transitions is added advantage.
Education & Work Experience:
• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• 4+ years of hands on development experience on ServiceNow platform overall
• 2+ years of hands on development & configuration on the ServiceNow Service Portal
• ITMS, HR SM, CSM and Integration module experience in ServiceNow
