Job Description

    Group Manager Media PlanningDescription :- Media Manager is responsible for providing leadership and guidance on integrated media planning to drive brand growth.- The person is expected to analyze and understand media outputs along with brand business outcomes both short and long term.- The person must be process oriented with an eye for detail. At the same time, the person must have the ability to foresee the changes in the media landscape and make changes to the media planning process accordingly.- The person will lead integrated media planning for all the key categories and products in Simplilearn.- The person will also be responsible and lead engagement with media agencies, define planning principles, be responsible for efficiency KPIs and manage day to day operations for a medium.WHY IS THIS A GREAT OPPORTUNITY :- Simplilearn is one of the worlds leading certification training providers. By 2030, it is expected that global EdTech expenditure will grow to USD 10 trillion.Here is how your day at Simplilearn would look like :- In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing direction, with recommendations, in integrating all areas of media which includes both traditional media and Digital media to drive brand growth.- The candidate will work with the marketing teams within the company in building best-in-class Multimedia Plans.- The candidate will take the lead in developing effective media touchpoints for brand communications. The job requires the candidate to work in partnerships with existing agencies. And, needs to build trust and rapport with internal stakeholders and external agencies alike.- Managing relationships with Media Agency and Partners to ensure robust deployment of plans.- Researching and implementing new ideas/features/strategies in a systematic manner.- Diligently carrying out experiments and reporting results and insights.- Analyzing data to make informed media planning decisions.- Identify target audiences and analyse their characteristics and media habits- Maintain good contacts with media owners, such as newspapers, TV channels and websites- Evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns and optimize channels for cost and performance managing both, the cost of traffic and cost of acquisition- Allocate budgets and monitor costsDesired Skills :- Proven 5 - 9 years experience as a Media Planner; experience in digital media is preferred- Hands on media planning, deployment and evaluation experience mandatory- Have media agency / advertising side experience. Having both will be an added advantage.- Having both Traditional Media Management and Digital media experience- Digital deployment knowledge on key platforms like Facebook, Google and OTT is an added advantage as the candidate will work on integrated media strategy.- Strong analytical and numerical ability. Familiarity with campaign evaluation metrics and media buying- Influencing and communication skills : Working knowledge of analytics tools- Strong decision-making skills, Proficient in carrying out quick analyses to figure out whats going wrong and how to fix issues- Highly proactive in terms of researching new features/strategies and coming up with suitable recommendations.- Experience in the education sector is a plus.- Masters in Media/Mass Communications/Advertising fields is preferred,
