Whatfix is disrupting the way Application Support and Learning content is consumed by providing Contextual and Interactive Walkthroughs inside enterprise applications at the exact time a task is being performed. We provide enterprises with a Software Platform that allows them to create Interactive Guides or Flows that sit as an overlay inside any web application. Flows are Contextual - appear based on where you are in the application (location) and who you are (role). Optimal performance and adoption of any web application is attained when there is easy access to Contextual Information - inside the application at the time a task is being performed. As a Site Reliability Engineers (SRE) at Whatfix you fill the mission - critical role of ensuring that our complex , web - scale systems are healthy , monitored , automated , and designed to scale. You work closely with our development teams from the early stages of design all the way through identifying and resolving production issues. The ideal candidate will be passionate about an operations role that involves deep knowledge of both the application and the product , and he / she will also believe that automation is a key component to operating large - scale systems. RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS Provide application lifecycle support for Whatfix applications with continuous focus on improvement and performance measurement. Perform production support of application; Automation using Bash , Python or Perl. Perform after - hours production infrastructure upgrades and configuration updates Work in partnership with stakeholders to design , implement , manage and support a highly available and secure infrastructure. Understand existing architecture and work with various Engineering teams to develop and execute strategies to provide a high quality Global production service. Skills And Experience We Are Looking For Experience: minimum 6 years with 3 or more years dedicated to Site Reliability Engineering. Bachelor s degree in Computer Science / Engineering or other relevant field Strong communication and analytical / problem - solving skills Strong background in Internet and Web based technologies including Apache , Tomcat and JBoss Prior experience with Java based application support Strong working knowledge of Solaris and Redhat Linux environments Good knowledge of Perl , CGI and Bash shell script development. Fundamental understanding of secure application and environment design and management concepts Must be able to manage both time and work load without constant supervision Preferred Qualifications Experience with ElasticSearch / Splunk. Ability to handle multiple concurrent tasks. Experience with cloud computing systems Experience working with content delivery networks Experience working in a regulated environment Good understanding of networking concepts (load balancers,TCP / IP , Firewalls) Good understanding of protocols such as SMTP , DNS,FTP,SSH etc About Us Founded in 2013 , by Khadim Batti and Vara Kumar Namburu , Whatfix enhances self - service capability of web products and helps companies to reduce support queries and improve user engagement.
