Snr. Product Engineer (Video / Image) Snr. Product Engineer (Video / Image) Job Code AVK SPE V / I Your Role You will play a central role in the design development of next generation Video / Image processing systems for Sports Broadcasting and assume overall engineering leadership for all core Video / Image processing modules. Your tasks also include interaction with video / Image research specialists , involvement in drafting of white papers / publications / patents , co - ordination with other snr. product engineers , mentoring of product engineers / Software engineers. You will primarily work from our Bangalore office in electronics city , but may be required to spend time with our spin - offs / affiliates in Switzerland. Your Profile A versatile C programmer with a special passion for developing sophisticated , mission critical and innovative video / image processing related applications aimed at the global market. Academic Qualifications :Engineering BE / BTECH ( preferably in Electrical , Electronics , Computer Science ) , ideally with a Masters ME / MTECH specialisation in Video , Image Processing , Media. A PhD in the domain of Video / Image processing will be a strong added advantage. Work Experience :a minimum of 2 yrs and ideally 3+ Yrs in the development of Audio / Visual applications such as Media / Video players ( preferably in MPEG) , and , implementation of video / Image processing ( segmentation / tracking) algorithms. Additional experience in development of modules related to raw / compressed Video Capture and / or Playout using OEM (ASI , SDI , DVI cards) , Software Video Codecs , and GUIs. Exposure to applications development in Live broadcasting and Production , preferably in sports broadcasting will be a strong advantage. Programming Skills :: Proficiency in C is mandatory. Proficiency in Linux / Unix Shell Scripting MATLAB is also expected. Good knowledge of FFMPEG or other MPEG SDKs will be a strong advantage. Domain Knowledge: Good knowledge of all major Video / media Formats ( Raw , Windows media , Mpeg 2 / 4) is mandatory. Additional understanding of theoretical concepts behind Image analysis , will be a strong advantage as is an exposure to HD DVB standards. Aptitude : Enthusiastic , creative , team player and excellent communicator in English (spoken and written). Candidates with a demonstrated interest in sports will be given preference.
