Job Description

    The Role

    We are looking for experiencedSoftware Development Engineer in Test (SDET)to join our Engineering team in Bangalore to test our platform which includes our DSLs, data pipeline, Indexers, Analytics store and our ETL engine. The SDET Engineer will play a key role testing industry leading machine data analytics products. This position requires extensive collaboration with multiple teams and works cross functionally on agile scrum Teams.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Be the Quality gatekeeper for Glassbeam s analytics data pipeline and our domain specific languages
    • Work with Product management / Solution Engineering teams to understand the use cases and write detailed test cases
    • Automate 100% of all test cases using our test framework
    • Develop/enhance framework to implement new automation use cases
    • Maintain build level regression using CI pipeline
    • Do regular triage of issues and take bugs to closure
    • Publish release level quality metrics to continuously improve on development processes.
    • Build/maintain and run release level performance metrics
    • Interact with customers for demos and bug triages
    Our Ideal Candidate
    • 4-6 years of strong automation and manual testing and test planning experience
    • Test automation framework development experience with strong programming experience in Java
    • Good Understanding of CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins
    • Experience of using test management tools like testlink or similar
    • Working knowledge on Linux.
    • Experience of having worked in scrum teams and usage of tools like Rally or Yodiz or similar
    • Strong oral and written communication skills, able to present ideas and information clearly.
    • Must be proficient and coSoftware Development Engineer in Test (SDET) mfortable at problem diagnosis, troubleshooting and problem solving.
    • Well versed in SQL, regex, http concepts, shell scripting
    • Good understanding of testing SaaS platforms
    • Working knowledge of Solr, Cassandra, Spark, Hadoop, Zookeeper is a big plus.
    • Cloud computing with AWS or similar
