Job Requisition: Software Engineer in Test I IPI Team Job Description. The Software Engineer II in Test is responsible for the final quality of the product. The role should have a good understanding of the technology stack and the product functionality, should be able to support engineers in the team with technology and should be able to setup a test framework and test cases to test the end- to- end functionality of the product. The product has multiple components spanning Java REST services, Angular JS- based UI and Spark jobs running on Hadoop Clusters. The role is based out of India at the Neustars office in Bangalore. This role will report to the Quality Manager This is a hands- on test engineer role. The job involves working in an enterprise scale application which involves in data testing and analysis. Key Responsibilities Include: QA Planning Execute and create functional test plans that verify quality, correctness, and performance of software systems Encourage and enforce best practices to enable rapid new feature development testing by writing test cases Candidates with strong academic background and /or proven track record in creating world- leading QA infrastructure are preferred Skills and Experience: 3- 5 Years of experience with strong QA resource who knows Python / Shell scripting to automate Strong backend /data pipeline testing experience (very limited UI testing) Document test cases and scenarios Strong communication who will be able to understand requirements clearly Performance Testing is a plus Strong programming skills in Java. Strong in shell scripting; knowledge in Python /Ruby would be an added advantage Experience with REST protocols and testing of REST services. Should have hands on experience in building test cases on Junit, Selenium, Jasmine and other tools.
