Job Description

    Software Engineer - Python
    • Participate on a scrum team
    • Learn and understand the technologies involved
    • Complete tasks on a given timeline
    • Communicate project progress which may include delays or changing completion date
    • Participate in demos at the end of each sprint
    • Design technical solutions to abstract problems
    • Coordinate with team leads, architects, and other engineers to design solutions
    • Ensure test plans for the code you create exist and that documentation is correct
    • Design and review automated test plans
    • Quickly respond to security threats
    • Ability to thrive in a rapidly changing environment
    What you will bring
    • 2+ Years of experience with Python programming language
    • Good understanding of Linux operating system
    • Ability to code and learn new programming languages
    • Solid written and verbal English communication skills
    • Familiarity with containers
    • Experience with Continuous Integration/ Delivery
    • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to directly interact with other teams
    • Ability to provide and accept constructive feedback that directly impacts our business goals
    • Ability to help define, follow and enforce processes
    • Ability to work under pressure - for example fixing issues during product release
    Preferred skills
    • Knowledge of Message Bus, and Database technologies
    • Experience with Kubernetes or OpenShift
    • Experience with tools like Jira, Confluence, GitLab, Ansible, Jenkins, Bugzilla, Koji, Pulp
    • Experience with development for public cloud services (AWS, GCE, Azure)
    • Ability to present to customers and stakeholders
    • Understanding of how Open Source and Free Software communities work
    • Previous Experience with Build and Packaging (rpm, jar )
    • Ability to debug issues across multiple software layers
    • Experience with code-reviews
