    Job summaryOur teams strive to make Amazon.in the most rewarding and convenient place to book movies and entertainment; we launched travel ticket bookings on A.in in May 2019 a globally unique offering at Amazon. We partner with leading vertical specialist Makemytrip, IRCTC, redBus and leverage their supply systems and capabilities while owning the end-to-end booking experience. We are encouraged by signals that our customers love the convenience of booking tickets right from within their Amazon app using saved Amazon Pay. As the world is reopening, we anticipate a lot of customer need in this area. The intersection travel, payments and Prime offers us a unique opportunity to create a more convenient & rewarding for our customers.We are looking for a category manager, who will be play lead business growth for travel on Amazon; he or she will define and own the short and long term business outcomes.Key job responsibilitiesThis role will be responsible for 1) Identify and develop short and long term inputs for business growth [owning long range planning and yearly business goals]; 2) Present weekly business reviews; 3) Establish and implement learnings, insight and business strategies, driving prioritization balanced by sound business/market rationale; 4) Manage the promotional strategy and planning across all channels, with special focus on post-analysis to gain insights; 5) Partner with other Amazon Categories, and Prime to identify and execute opportunities of bundled offerings; 6) Partner with marketing teams to drive adoption of new features 7) Develop fact-based, quantitative analysis of consumer and competitive trends, with actionable insights and recommendations.The candidate for this position will 1) possess experience of growing categories; 2) have experience and of working with senior internal and external stakeholders; 3) should be strong with numbers and analysis; 4) is expected to develop an understanding of nuances of movies business and operations and emerge as a subject matter expert for this business at Amazon. The ideal candidate sees around corners, is biased for action in ensuring the team is set up for success in achieving our goals, and earns trust through broad stakeholder influence. This role will get exposure to senior leadership in entertainment industry, Basic Qualifications1) 7+ years of category management experience, ideally in the e-commerce space2) Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create compelling positioning/messaging strategy and present complex information clearly and concisely3) Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to justify requirements, features and drive management of product4) High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously with minimal supervision5) Collaborative working style. Must work well in a team environment.
    • Track record of starting and scaling categories in e-Commerce from scratch
    • Expertise in affiliate marketing
    • Experience in partner management including closing long term agreements with strategic partners.
