[ Sr. Java Developer Job Duties APPLY Under limited supervision, develop, create, and modify moderately complex computer applications software, and specialized programs; gather and interpret functional specifications and user requirements and develop software solutions; install and configure web servers and perform integration; create end users, user groups, define rules, delegate admin, create visitor entitlements, and portal security management; configure and administer connection pools; coordinate the design of software and modify/ customize software for client use using Oracle, MySQL, DB2, and other relational databases, on networked PCs and workstations in Windows and UNIX; develop and deploy applications on multiple servers and maintain load balance and high availability; design, develop and modify software systems; analyze system capabilities and requirements; develop and direct software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation, and develop enhancements and modifications; coordinate software system installation and monitor equipment functioning; mentor/ assist lower level programmers with the above, as necessary; accomplish above tasks utilizing the following tools: Websphere, WSAD, WebLogic Portal, IX Portal, JSF Portlets, Rational Rose, Rational Rose, Java, J2EE, EJB, JSP, Servlets, Struts, XML, and related tools. Minimum Education Qualifications Master degree in Computer Science, Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Engineering, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign education); Experience One (1) year of experience in the occupation above, or as a Software Engineer, Systems Analyst, or in a related occupation Other Requirements Experience must include work with Weblogic Portal, IX Portal, JSF Portlets, Java, J2EE; job may require relocation within the U.
