Job Description

    *Job DescriptionRole: Senior Program Manager - Propulsion - eDrive, Fuel Cell Sys & Fleet MonitoringDepartment: TT/S43 - Propulsion Systems and Design Job Responsibilities Role Definition:
    1. This role is to lead the electric powertrain engineering teams of about 25 engineers on System & Software Engineering. The key focus would be on Controls development & Fleet Monitoring for the powertrain systems on eMotor, Inverter, Hydrogen Storage systems for fuel cells.
    1. Activities in the team would typically span: Requirement engineering, Software development, System / Software Testing and data analysis
    1. Lead responsibilities will include management of multiple projects, their respective teams and respective stakeholders like global business partners, suppliers, etc.
    Role Expectations:
    1. Constantly challenge the status-quo, push the current horizons and generate continuous value, constantly upgrade team competencies, create new business opportunities and drive innovation as a part of the regular work.
    1. Driving Innovation by bringing-in a culture towards problem identification, development of problem statements, generation of new ideas towards solution, create proof of Concepts and build a strong case for an early productization and also patenting.
    1. Creation and execution of program/project strategy with roadmap at the team level to continuously expand the current horizon of the present work share at Bangalore
    1. As a part of leadership team, ensure alignment to implement the strategy in line with organization strategy
    1. Lead cross functional activities & collaborate with leadership team as needed
    1. Flexible to travel globally based on business need to participate in various supplier discussions, technical and management discussions
    Experience 10 - 15 years industry experience with B. Tech/M. Tech in Electrical Engineering or any associated disciplines Essential Experience:
    1. 4+ years working experience on eDrive System
    2. Prior experience on leading the development eDrivetrain Control software features that interact with components such as e-motor and Inverter
    3. Deep understanding of the technology / systems engineering is essential for this role.
    4. Demonstrated credentials on driving innovation
    5. Demonstrated credentials on building project/program strategy
    Preferable Experience:
    1. Prior experience on the following areas:
      1. eDrive traction controller development
      2. Traction Inverter control Software development
      3. Traction Inverter testing in both low and high voltage test bench set-up
      4. Power testig of traction inverters
      5. Knowledge of advance Inverter & Motor Technologies based on Market Trends
    2. Experience in establishing High Voltage traction Inverter Component Testing bench
    3. Experience on handling the epowertrain fleet data to drive solutions based on system knowhow on field issues, as bring in performance enhancement, understand component degradations etc
    4. Experience on development of hydrogen storage control
    Soft Skills Required
    • Demonstrates good business acumen, strong inter-personal relationship skills, excellent communication and team work skills
    • Intercultural experiences and knowledge of German/Japanese language also preferred
    , *10 - 15 years industry experience with B. Tech/M. Tech in Electrical Engineering or any associated disciplines
