This tech team solves unique customer needs in Amazon s fastest growing marketplace by building successful, sustainable and strategic products for India and then launch them Amazon Worldwide!In this role, you will negotiate the challenge in building architectures for new platforms and services that are highly modular and rapidly scalable to handle flash surges, have minimal latencies and have optimal hardware footprint. These services you build will serve hundreds of millions of customers worldwide!You will collaborate with principal engineers, product managers and other SDEs to lead the end to end design and development. In terms of technologies, you will have opportunity to develop ML-enabled solutions and work on wide range of technologies including AWS EC2, SNS/ SQS, Dynamo DB, Sable, Redshift, Lambda, Kinesis, CloudFront, ElasticSearch, Big Data, Machine Learning, Android, iOS, Amazon Horizonte, Datapath, Amazon API, JavaScript and React JS.Successful SDE candidates will need a solid background in modern programming languages, distributed system design, service-oriented architectures, and high scalability. Experience in big data and machine learning is a big plus. Equally important is the ability to articulate the vision, technical designs and influence external teams. Other skills include ability to multi-task, invent, create reliable and maintainable code, and find creative, scalable solutions to ambiguous and complex problems., Bachelors and/or Masters degree in Computer Science or equivalent Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis 10+ years of software architecture and development experience using Java and/or C++ in enterprise Web applications using Java, Spring MVC, Hibernate, JavaScript, JQuery Hands-on expertise in many disparate technologies, typically ranging from front-end user interfaces through to back-end systems and all points in between Experience with distributed (multi-tiered) systems, algorithms, and relational databases Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions Deal well with ambiguous/undefined problems; ability to think abstractly Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior management to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategyMaster s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
