Job Description

    Sr. Software Engineer Job Description (Itron India Pvt. Ltd.)Roles & Responsibilities: Integrate and implement custom created applications with commercial and open-source software. Create high-quality software by conducting peer design/code reviews and developing automated test cases. Work with geographically distributed teams, with ample opportunity to learn from and mentor teammates in a fast-paced environment. Play a key role in the future of software products by working closely with product management and other stakeholders to aid solution development. Leverage the latest technologies to solve complex problems facing the AMI (Advanced Metering Industry). Build and implement performant and scalable solutions by applying best development practices. Ensure high quality solutions by implementing unit tests, driving continuous integration/validation, and supporting the creation and design of performance, load, and user acceptance tests. Build methods and tools to automate development activities. Self-driven with right mindset towards company/project success. Open to work on legacy and latest development applications. Must Haves: Education: Bachelors Degree in technical field OR equivalent work experience 4 to 8 years of relevant professional work experience on Azure. 4 to 8 years of object-oriented software development experience using C#, .Net, .Net Core, Angular Full stack. 4 to 8 years of application development experience in an agile environment using enterprise database environments (MSSQL, Oracle). Hands-on-work on Apache PySpark to develop distributed computation environments. Experience developing software in a commercial software product development environment. Knowledge of multiple languages/alternative frameworks and ability to learn new technologies as the need arises. Experience in developing scalable and performant applications. Experience with enterprise technologies and principles, such as SOA, REST, and enterprise messaging. Software design experience using object-oriented patterns, design patterns, SOLID, and other development principles. Experience leading teams delivering high-quality software products. Good Experience in tuning the performance of the application & database. Must have excellent analytical skills, good communication skills. Skill Set: Azure, C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework Core, SQL Server, RabbitMQ, Angular, WCF, MVVM, Kubernetes, Docker, Hands on experience on Windows and Linux, web application/services development.Good to have: Apache Spark, Python, Oracle, Cassandra, MongoDBItron is committed to building an inclusive and diverse workforce and providing an authentic workplace experience for all employees.
