These solutions address all segments of the hard disk drive (HDD) and solid-state drive (SSD) electronics markets. Many of the same technologies have been utilized in Marvell storage system solutions products, powering PCs, servers, cloud, and enterprise systems.Job Responsibilities:Preamp Job Description (Position Senior/Staff)

  • Responsible for the development of preamplifier integrated circuits for HDD application
  • Contribute to the implementation (design, simulation-based verification, and chip integration) and validation of new and derivative ICs using the advanced Silicon Germanium process
  • Perform system level and block level IC design activities including circuit architecture definition, circuit design, schematic capture, circuit and sub-system simulation, chip floor-planning, and layout planning
  • Create clear documentation of design and product development activities to ensure high quality designs and to support dissemination of important design information to cross-functional teams
  • Work with Characterization and Product Engineers to define, conduct, and analyze data from product performance characterization
  • Be willing to take different roles in different projects as needed for project success
Requirements:Minimum Requirements
  • BSEE 6 years experience designing analog /mixed-signal ICs for mass production (alternatively, MSEE 4 years experience or PhD 2 years experience)
  • Thorough understanding of CMOS/SiGe analog device, intuitive grasp of IC design and analysis fundamentals including linear systems, small-signal models, noise, frequency response, etc.
  • Experience in high frequency circuit design and layout requirements
  • Familiarity with and proficiency using IC design tools for schematic capture, circuit simulation, and IC layout.
  • Solid understanding of the entire IC design process from product concept to release to mass production
  • Familiarity with and proficiency using standard electronics test equipment (power supplies, oscilloscopes, DMMs, spectrum analyzers, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
