DescriptionThis role demands a strong and broad software engineering background , good understanding of Set Top Box and Consumer Electronics product , good understanding of Software Development and Integration life cycles.Your role will cover all aspects of design and development , including writing architecture and functional specifications , forming test plans , developing code , debugging , triaging and supporting customers for the features and issues.Responsibilities:Develop quality software in the Set Top Box domainIntegrate layers of Software stacksAnalyze , Debug and maintain existing software componentsTriaging and bug fixing of issues in the Software productsInteract with customer and System Integrator for feature developments and IntegrationDesign highly scalable , testable codeSkills Required:Experience in programming languages - C , C++Experience of developing device drivers for Set Top BoxExperience with Software Development Life CycleExperience with Hardware production supportExperience with Video and Audio standardsDetailed knowledge of DVB / ATSC standardsFamiliarity with HDMI , Dolby productsFamiliarity with Linux development environment and open source softwareExperience with STB Conditional AccessStrong problem solving , debugging and software troubleshooting skillsMust be able and willing to work in a high energy , dynamic and fast paced development environmentAbility to work in agile scrum teamExperience of Opensource contributions is desirableQualificationsBachelors degree / Masters degree in Computer Science or related field ,
