Job Description

As a Staff Systems Integration and Verification Engineer , the successful candidate will be part of the systems engineering team that is responsible for defining and testing the systems behavior for Enphase s energy solutions. This position reports into the director of systems engineering.

In this role the successful candidate will:

  • Perform systems integration and design verification activities, including:
    • Being involved with products design cycles to become familiar with the behavior of new products
    • Develop system design verification plans and facilitate peer reviews
    • Assemble systems that are composed of various products within the systems solution
    • Design test automation setups that can evaluate the system behavior and allow multiple tests to be run sequentially automatically, then write data into databases
    • Generate reports and be able to present data, with the ability to report bugs or issues
  • Participate in general systems engineering functions:
    • Assist with requirements management and documentation of system behavior
    • Participate in architecture definition tasks
    • Assist in systems modeling and simulation. This includes SW and HW modeling of the system behavior.

To be successful in this role, the candidate will need to have:

  • MS or higher degree in a technical degree like Electrical engineering or computer science, plus 6 or more years relevant work experience. Alternatively, undergraduate degree in the fields mentioned with 8 years relevant work experience.
  • Hands on experience in designing and exercising automated engineering test setups, with desired expertise in:
    • Controlling test equipment using GPIB, TCP/IP, USB, RS232 and other communication busses.
    • Ability to develop test scrips on a host machine
    • Ability to interact with databases for retrieving test records and writing test results.
  • Good understanding of basic electrical engineering, including circuit theory and renewable energy systems.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within an international team.

Desired experience - the following will be an advantage:

  • Experience with Python or similar languages
  • Mechanical, hands-on, experience
  • Understanding of energy storage, microgrid and renewable energy systems
  • Hands on experience with wired and wireless communication protocols

Travel:

  • Occasional travel locally and internationally
