As a member of this team you would contribute to CDMS s mission. The successful candidate will: Supervise a project team of structural engineers and drafters. Structural design with limited supervisory responsibility in the preparation of design.Prepare scope of work and budget estimates and monitor progress. Forecast workload and schedules. Develop structural design criteria for projects. Analyze and design structures for water and wastewater treatment, and other facilities. Prepare structural design calculations and check calculations. Coordination with structural and other discipline engineering staff as necessary to develop structural designs/ drawings. Review or write specifications. Develop new specifications as needed. Perform engineering services during construction, including review of shop drawing submittals and response to contractor questions. Manage tasks on large projects or manage a number of small projects. Participate in new business development.Minimum QualificationsB.E (Civil or Civil/ Structural)., M.E (structural Engg) PreferredMinimum 7- 9 years of experience in structural analysis and design of reinforced concrete, structural steel, and foundations. Knowledge of commonly used computer software (Word, Excel, AutoCAD). Knowledge of structural and engineering applications (STAAD, RISA, MathCad).Preferred QualificationsMaster s Degree in Structural Engineering is preferred.Familiarity with international standards such as Euro codes & American codes ASCE, IBC, AISC, ACI, ASTM.Experience with static and dynamic equipment foundations, steel structures like pipe- racks and equipment supporting structures, steel and reinforced concrete buildings, connection designs, development of design criteria, specifications and standards.Knowledge of Finite Element Analysis methods and software.Experience with structural designing for water/ wastewater/ other industrial/ facilities(building) projectsDrafting software REVIT, AutoCAD, etc., Hand on experience in designing the structures using American codes like ACI, ASCE, IBC, etc., and Euro codes.Assignment CategoryFulltime- Regular Amount of Travel Required10% Agency DisclaimerAll vendors must have a signed CDM Smith Placement Agreement from the CDM Smith Recruitment Center Manager to receive payment for your placement.
