Job Description

    The opportunity :- The role will be part of the GDS Data Protection team that, under direction from Global Risk Management (in collaboration with GCO), manage the EY Data Protection program to monitor that EY and client data is used and protected in line with internal policy and external regulation to mitigate risk to the network.- The Data Protection Program is established in line with the needs of the business to control and govern lifecycle of personal and confidential data at the global level, supporting immediate and future regulatory, legal, risk and operational requirements. - This is an exciting time to join Risk Management. We are looking for client-serving professionals to join global Risk Management on a one or two-year rotation basis. You will build your professional knowledge and credentials, learn how EY operates globally and work with some of the most senior partners. We will benefit from your fresh perspective and your client serving experience.Your key responsibilities :Responsible for supporting all aspects of the GDS Data Protection program, focusing on risk management and improved compliance, you will leverage knowledge and industry expertise to enhance processes, support monitoring and reporting requirements, develop learning materials and more for the governance and life cycle management of EYs personal and confidential data. Lead, manage and participate on global projects and networks. You will be required to consult and collaborate effectively with key internal and external DP stakeholders (e.g., Services Lines, Functions, EY Technology, Legal, RIM, Acquisitions, members of the Region DP network, industry vendors) to drive the design and implementation of solutions across the business and geographies. In addition, you will be expected to coach, mentor and manage performance of team members and be involved in activities like goal setting, performance assessment against goals, providing timely performance feedback.Skills and attributes for success:- Interest in enhancing EYs data protection program.- Interest in working with a culturally diverse team from around the globe to design, develop, and deploy programs and share knowledge.- Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills, with a proven inclusive and flexible approach- Effective communicator with good written and oral presentation skills- Ability to formulate recommendations to solve Data Protection business issues- Proven project management skills and experience of delivering projects in a matrixed organization- Excellent team attitude, inter-personal and leadership skills; proven expertise in leading teams.To qualify for the role you must have:- University graduate/post-graduate with experience in a professional services environment; data privacy environment / management experience preferred- Certified Privacy Professional (CIPP/E or US) certification from the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) or willingness to obtain certification within the first six months- Familiarity with relevant external standards, e.g. ISO 27001/NIST- Prior experience in creating and delivering communications and learning sessions- Understanding of available learning resources, both internal and external- Advanced MS office knowledge (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and fundamental DP technologies- Excellent technical acumen and ability to use relevant tools that support EYs operational privacy processes- Familiarity with key global DP regulations, legislations, industry resources and standards, both in the professional services industry and other key corporate business functions (i.e., human resources, InfoSec); DP principles and practices- Experience leading multiple projects and virtual, multidisciplinary, cross-functional and cross-border teams- Ability to apply analytical and problem-solving skills to solve problems by gathering data from various sources; evaluate alternatives from multiple stakeholder perspectives and understanding impact on business when addressing / resolving issuesIdeally, youll also have- Data Privacy/Protection, legal, policy, or IT (Information Security) experience- Certifications such as Information Governance Professional (IGP), Project Management Professional (PMP), or International Association of Privacy Professional (IAPP) or willingness to obtain- Strong knowledge of EY and a willingness to pursue continuous learning and other relevant certifications- Ability to operate and flex in an ambiguous and changing environment to respond to emerging priorities- Experience of working to deadlines and delivering high-quality outputs- Ability and willingness to periodically work flexibly e.g., participating in calls outside of standard office hours (early morning/late night) to support our global organizationWhat we look for :Were looking for an experienced, high energy individual who embraces change and innovation in order to ensure that we can continue to deliver world-class RM initiatives in an ever-changing environment.What we offer :EY Global Delivery Services (GDS) is a dynamic and truly global delivery network.
