Job Description

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Read engineering drawings, understand the specifications and their criticality
    • Review material receipt controls and revise them based on supplier capabilities
    • Visit suppliers and carryout initial supplier assessments - jobwork type, castings & forgings
    • Carryout technical reviews with the suppliers during part development stage.
    • Coordinate with external labs for carrying out necessary material tests and approve lab reports
    • Conduct Supplier PPAP runs and approve supplier PPAP documents
    • Evaluate supplier ratings and coordinate with suppliers to improve their performance
    • Monitor and control supplier rejections through root cause analysis and CAPA
    • Analyse line complaints and address through 8D methodology
    • Plan and conduct process audits at supplier end to identify potential NCs
    • Coordinate New Part Development activities & trials for Process Change Requests of vendor parts
    • Prepare and maintain MIS on quality performance of the section
    • Identify focus suppliers and drive the Supplier Development program
    • Handle customer audits and external audits for IATF16949, coordinate for closure of all open issues
    • Coordinate with CFT and other depts for implementation of CAPA
    Additional Responsibilities:
    • Support New Part Development activities & trials for Process Change Requests
    • Coordinate for projects on Supplier portal development
    • Participate in employee engagement initiatives like ACMA, QCFI.
    • Support Quality-Cost-Delivery-Safety improvement activities through Kaizens
    • Maintenance of records and retrieval for quick reference in future
