Job Description

    Primary Responsibilities This position will be based out of Bangalore, directly reporting into the leader of Supplier Quality Manager in India, and closely working with Global Supplier Quality. This individual would be responsible to manage OEM commodity supplier engineering tasks by working closely with suppliers and supplier engineering team in US and Asia region. Individual s primary job responsibilities are listed below:
    • Managing assigned suppliers in OEM commodity to ensure expectations are met in terms of Quality and timeline.
    • Evaluate the impact of internal and external non-conformances and take a lead in problem solving activities, drive root cause and corrective actions with suppliers to eliminate recurrence of non-conformances.
    • Assist supplier in preparing and implementing 8D (RCCA), First Article, Process of Record (like PPAP approach) and Problem Report (Supplier Deviations, Engineering queries) etc.
    • Drive supplier improvement through virtual assessment, manage scorecard, and support supplier qualification processes.
    • Review supplier manufacturing processes and engage with suppliers to identify process improvements.
    • Collaborate with Supply Chain and Engineering for business value enhancement opportunities
    Minimum Qualifications
    • Bachelor s degree with 5 to 8 years of relevant experience/Masters with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience
    • Bachelor s/Masters degree in Mech/Prod/Automobile engineering
    • Manufacturing knowledge on OEM/Commercial Off the Shelf parts like, Pneumatic components, Valves, controllers, diffusers, Pumps, Heaters, Manifolds, etc.
    • Proficient in Problem solving tools like, 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, FMEA, DOE etc.
    • Basic understanding of test report interpretation and strong ability to read mechanical drawings, specification, interpretation of BOM, GD&T symbols, Measurement System Analysis (MSA), Statistical Process Control (SPC) practiced at supplier end.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Basic knowledge on supplier assessments like, QMS audit, Process audit, etc.
    • Experience in handling suppliers from remote location.
    • Strong interpersonal skills to work in a team/Cross functional team environment
    • Strong analytical skills to reduce data into information and deliver executive level summaries
    • Experience in working in any ERP tool (ex. SAP, Oracle)
