Job Description

Position Summary:

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Expert in SIP, ENUM, 3GPP, SBC, audio/video CODECS
  • Proficient in Microsoft Visio, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Exposure to PERL programming, Shell scripting and C/C+ code reading is a plus
  • Exposure to IMS, RCS, STIR/SHAKEN, SS7/SIGTRAN is a plus
  • Knowledge of IPSec, VPNs, NAT/Firewalls, Ethernet, TCP/IP, QoS
  • Experience and broad understanding of Cloud, Openstack and/or AWS Platforms, Virtualization
  • Exposure to Openstack HEAT Template, Neutron, Cloud Management areas
  • Prior experience in the Telecom industry is a must
  • Prior experience as Network Design on switching or computer telephony applications is highly preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teams across groups in multiple geographic locations
  • BE/ BS/ ME/ MS/ in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Engineering/Computer Science
  • 8-12 Years experience
Experience and Skills:

Functional Responsibilities:

  • Convert customer requirements into robust, flexible and scalable network design for Tier 1/2 telecom service providers/carriers across the globe
  • Author Architecture, high level design, low level design and feature application notes following Ribbon process
  • Develop deep understanding of Ribbon products and its capabilities (what it can and cannot do)
  • Support various Ribbon groups with respect to Network Design including Account team, Engineering (developers and testers), Customer support and Sales and marketing
  • Build strong and long lasting relationships with customers

Project Description:

  • Work on Network Design tasks (IP Plan, call flows, design docs, config, troubleshooting) related to Ribbon SBC and Policy related products
  • Integrate Ribbon solutions into customer s existing network infrastructure
  • Remove obstacles and accelerate time to in-service and revenue generation
  • Required to be available for audio conf calls during U.S. first half of the day
