Job Description

    Org Unit Vehicle Programmes and Development Job Family Engineering Sub Job Family Electrical Position level L1-L2 Scope of Role The Architecture engineer is responsible for the system architecture design and development to the highest standard, in fast-paced and technically-challenging projects, using model based development. From concept to series-development the successful candidate will ensure the delivery of an electrical architecture of a vehicle that fulfils the project requirements (performance, attributes, cost & timing). Candidate must be hungry for success with a keen eye for detail and quality. Ability to take criticism and challenge with facts and evidence to ensure there is no ambiguity that communications are clear and timely and through the relevant channels. Reporting must be concise and to the point. Planning and execution of those fully tracked and reported. The Project Full vehicle development for an OEM based in Far East. Work options will include both onsite and remote depending on regulations governing travel. This opportunity, the environment and culture you will be working in will be a significant stepping stone in your engineering career, something you will take great pride in and a point of reflection in later life Area of Responsibility L1.2-L2 Provide support to the architecture team to create the network topology and maintain the said topology in the network design tool chosen by the client. Provide input into the architecture system team to make relevant changes to network topology for optimisation of factors like bus load, cyber security layout etc. Ability to articulate to system owners or component owners regarding what data required to create the signal database. Accountable for understanding provided signal level requirements to the networks and subsequent evaluation to determine whether it meets the quality criteria. Excellent knowledge of synatx for outputs like DBC, LDF, Fibex, Autosar XML. Minimum of 2 years experience of network behaviour validation with tools like canalyser, vehicle spy or equivalent. Basic understanding or experience of terminology and functionality of blocks within the Autosar classic BSW. Basic understanding of Autosar based network management and its implementation. Familiarity with international standards like ISO11898, ISO , ISO etc and automotive electrical regulations. Basic understanding for principles driving automotive diagnostics under ISO would be considered as bonus. Bachelor degree or above, in electrical engineering, vehicle engineering, systems engineering, automation, mechatronics or electronic information engineering. Good communication and project coordination skills; Good analytical skills, problem solver Knowledge / Experience L2.1-L3 Technical knowledge & experience of network technologies like CAN, LIN, Flexray, Ethernet etc. Experience of requirement cascade tools like DOORS, Code beamer etc. Experience of issue management tools like JIRA, RTC etc. Understanding of the concepts between model-based system design. Minimum 5 years experience with network testing tools like Canalyser, Canoe, vehicle spy or equivalent. Good understanding for principles driving automotive diagnostics under ISO14229. Lead the overall effor for system validation of the network behaviour within the supplier released software on test properties like labcar or rigs. Items can include module wakeup and shutdown behaviour, frame cyclic timings etc. Lead the validation activities of supplier submitted results for device level network behaviour leading to eventual engineering sign off from EEA team. Provide feedback to supplier regarding system level failure and assist in its diagnosis. Maintain any network validation tools (equipment and test scripts) within the team Knowledge / Experience L1.2-L2 Technical knowledge & experience of network technologies like CAN, LIN, Flexray, Ethernet etc. Experience of requirement cascade tools like DOORS, Code beamer etc. Experience of issue management tools like JIRA, RTC etc. Proven experience in delivery of network design for at least one vehicle via tools like PREEVision, VSA COM editor, System Weaver or equivalent. Alternatively, at least 1-2 years experience of using the above tool chain in any application. Understanding of the concepts between model-based system design. Proven multiyear experience with network testing tools like Canalyser, Canoe, vehicle spy or equivalent. Prior experience of how the networks output like CAN Dbc, LDF, Fibex are generated and used. Strong prior experience with creation of specification and subsequent deployment of network technologies within the Automotive, IHM, Aerospace etc domain. Proven experience of model-based development in tools like PREEvision or equivalent. Expert technical knowledge & experience of Electrical component & system specification, design, test & production.
