Job Description

This is a Test Engineer role, reporting to the Line Manager in Business Area Industrial Automation and located in Bangalore. You will be working at Ability Innovation Center (AIC), home to the largest technology and engineering pool in ABB globally and is a part of ABB Global Industries and Services Private Limited (GISPL), a subsidiary of ABB. You will join a group of high-achieving engineers to lead and develop cutting edge industrial control applications for the Energy service industry. You will be contributing significantly to successful project results in technology and/or product development by identifying, proposing and implementing innovative solutions.Your responsibilities

  • Developing software and preparing and ensuring delivery of high-quality Industrial Automation applications.
  • Demonstrating innovation in software applications making processes followed and/or products delivered and encouraged it within the team.
  • Delivering products using in complex technology landscapes.
  • Delivering in predictable timelines and with predictable quality.
  • Working with Project Managers for defining scope, features and estimates for new projects.
  • Planning project activities with local and remote teams.
  • Working directly on development tasks, providing technical leadership, coordinating with other team members and creating high quality products within the defined schedules and budgets.
  • Working closely with Front-end teams/Sales to understand customers requirements, business environment and related complexity and formulate software requirements specifications.
  • Preparing clear & concise documentation for the developed software products.

Your background
  • BE/ B.Tech/ME/ M. Tech/ MCA from premier institutions with Information Technology or Computer Science stream or equivalent.
  • Required 2-3yrs of Experience in Integration test planning, execution and test automation.
  • Should have experience in API & non-functional testing.
  • Should have experience working in an Agile development environment.
  • Should Have experience in TFS & Microsoft testing tools (MTM, Test controller, Test Agents).
  • Should have experience of working with virtual environments (Vmware / Hyperview / Azure).
  • Should have ability to understand new features / use cases and developing test cases.
