Job Title (Job Code): TrTE&TrTT Traction Test Engineer Tier2 (EN-VT-01_003) PURPOSE OF THE JOB
    • He/she carries out type, validation or investigation tests, and preparing reports
    • He/she carries out in validation activities for the traction/auxiliary at train level
    • He/she carries out validation of supplier parts / components
    • He/she defines and implements the most appropriate testing methodology and means of testing
    • He/she develops test operating modes and analyses test results
    • He/she analyse technical issues and proposes solutions during commissioning and reliability growth phase

    Reports directly to: Position title: TrSDL Network & Links Position title of connected positions / functional report Internal Traction System Engineer, Traction Test Laboratory Manager, Traction ,Test Laboratory Engineer & Technician, Technical experts, Project Core team, RS Validation Team, Certification and Validation managers/engineers External PrEM, Product Manager, Design Team, Suppliers of parts, Suppliers of test equipment, External Test laboratories, Customers representatives, sub-contractors MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Participating in the realization of the Validation Plan
    • Preparing the tests, she/he is responsible for: equipment for testing, applied configuration and pre-requisites
    • Respecting EHS rules notably implementing LockOut-TagOut instruction.
    • Supervising and/or executing test activities, analysing test results live and deciding if test has to be redone
    • Reviewing part of the Parts Validation Plan relevant to test at Traction Test Bench level or Train level and accepting (to be included in
    • Traction Validation Plan) or rejecting considering other possibilities
    • Test results data analysis, writing test reports and/or approving reviewing Traction Test Procedures / reports
    • Managing the validation schedule, optimizing the validation sequence in relationship with the traction design and configuration maturity and test means availability
    • Applying ALSTOM CV process
    • Defines and participates in the commissioning (=fine tuning), and manage it together with the validation manager
    • Traction validation activities for the traction/auxiliary at train level
    • Analysis of technical issues and proposes solutions during commissioning and reliability growth phase
    • Identifies the technical risks and supports the traction or auxiliary PrEM for implementation or update of the technical part of the risk mitigation plan
    MAIN REQUIRED COMPETENCES Educational Requirements : Bachelor in Engineering in Electrical and Electronics EngineeringMandatory :
    • Knowledge of the architecture and functionalities of the traction drive or auxiliary converter system
    • Test execution capability on some of the following domains: Traction Systems (on Simulator, Bench and/or Train) , Power Converters, Drivers of converter, Switchgear, Components / Parts , Thermal
    • Measurement (Tools and process)
    • Railways standards and regulation that can have impact on traction drives, auxiliary converters, and related components
    • Knowledge of Electrical / electro-mechanical components (transformer,inductor, capacitor, resistor, contactor, fuse, circuit-breaker, transducer, relay, battery & chargers, pump, motor-fan, heat exchanger etc)
    • Knowledge of Sub-assemblies of a traction system (power module,control electronics, cooling system etc.)
    • Understanding of Traction Functional Requirements and their implementation logic
    • Understanding of Traction and Train level Schematics
    • Understanding of Traction Logs / Traces
    • Root cause analysis of functional failures and participate in 8D
    • General Knowledge IT Tools
