Job Description

UI Designer Bangalore R&D Product Management Full - time Qubole, the leading cloud - agnostic, big data - as - a - service provider, is passionate about making data - driven insights easily accessible to anyone. Qubole delivers the industry s first autonomous data platform. The cloud - based data platform, Qubole Data Service (QDS), removes the burden of maintaining infrastructure of multiple big data processing engines, and enables customers to focus on their data. Qubole customers process nearly an exabyte of data every month. Qubole investors include Charles River, Institutional Venture Partners, Lightspeed, Norwest, Harmony and Singtel Innov8. About Qubole Design Team: We are a small group of designers focused on delivering the best experience to the users of Big Data across the world. We are growing this team out of Bangalore, India. We are looking for designers who are passionate about design and creative problem solving. As a designer in our team you ll take on complex tasks and transform them into intuitive, accessible and easy - to - use designs for both new and pro - users of our big data platform. We re looking for someone who:

  • I s capable of understanding complex business goals, product & technical content in order to create engaging & effective experiences for our customers.
  • Has excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively communicate ideas/concepts/findings to cross - functional teams .
  • Can collaborate on scenarios, end - to - end experiences, and screen designs .
  • Can optimize existing user interface designs and test them for intuitivity and experience.
  • Should be able to bring latest development on user interfaces on the table to discuss with the team by doing on - line research.
  • Has ability to discuss, plan and explain design options.
  • Has strong hold on typography, layouts and color systems.Translates verbal ideas and low - fi designs into delightful, intuitive interfaces quickly with users and scenarios in mind.
  • Can determine timelines and deliverables for the UI controls.
  • Has an eye for crafting visually appealing design to high levels of detail.
  • Can own and develop pixel perfect design system to create and implement interaction models and user interface specifications.
  • Create and iterate on assets that reflect a brand, enforce a language, and inject beauty and life into a product.
  • Can work closely with engineers for pixel - perfect deliverables and test the interfaces.
  • Understanding of basic front - end languages: HTML5, CSS and Javascript
Qualifications :
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience collaborating with multi - disciplinary teams throughout the design process from creating wireframes to building user interface mockups and prototypes.
  • Has a demonstrable portfolio of work that reflects demonstrates experiences crafting usable digital interfaces.
  • Should be proficient with design tools like Sketch, XD, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and other similar design tools.
Good to have :
  • Knowledge of micro interactions.
  • Experience in 2D character animation using Adobe After Effects.
  • Experience in other tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Principle, etc.
